More from the autumn fairy

Hi Everybody!

We are enjoying a few days of wonderful weather here,
truly a 'golden October', so I've been getting out as much
as possible to make the most of it. I managed to finish my
autumn fairy. It is an A3 mixed media piece using the
home-made leaves I showed in my post here.
I am linking to Elke's lovely 'landscape of my soul'
theme at Art Journal Journey, and to Simon
Monday Challenge, anything but a card.

And some more autumnal photos fromThursday's trip to
Kaarster Lake. I found another fairy garden full of
tiny toadstools:

The play of light and shadow on the water always
fascinates me:

Berries galore:

Mr Cormorant taking a rest:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  4. Beautiful goddess. I love the crown of leaves in her hair and how they adorn her dress. Looks like Autumn is in full swing both on your page and outside. Other than the grocery store, I've never seen so many mushrooms. They look like tiny umbrellas. The walk around the lake is lovely. So much color. I especially love the little yellow flower. A tiny sun holding onto Summer. Oh, wait, that's me. :-D Have a good day!

  5. Your Autumn Fairy and quote may be my favorite yet! I love the colors (fall is my favorite time of year) and I adore fairies. I was a woodland fairy one year many years ago for Halloween. :)

So glad you are having such a beautiful fall and that you are getting out so much. Your pictures are just fabulous. Love all that you have been capturing. The "tunnel" through the trees with light peeking in is so cool!! Thanks for sharing. ;)

  22. What wonderful colours you have used in this project Val. Love it Lots. Beautiful pictures as always, I've missed so much this year but on the way back now, so hopefully I'll be back again sooner rather than later. Weather has been awful overnight as we got the tail end of Ophelia, don't like high winds like this at all as we are surrounded with trees. Hope you're well and enjoying every new day. Hugs Rita xxxx
