Hi Everybody!
I am slowly feeling a little better, but my energy levels are
still very low, so I am trying to take things a bit easier
just now. I did manage to make some tags and a journal page
though, but to balance it out I left out the house**rk.
Sooner or later things will hopefully be back to normal.
It's a cold, wet and stormy day here, so good weather for staying
home, reading and playing!
Here I made an A3 mixed media piece. The background was
brayered with yellow, ochre and orange, and then sprayed with
acrylics in red and yellow. I stamped into it with my scroll stamp
while it was still wet. The crow was painted using my home-made
crow stencil. The black looks rather bluish, sorry, but I
needed electric light as it is so dark today. The rest of the
background was stenciled in Adirondack espresso and Archival
black.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday, Elke's 'landscapes of the soul'
theme at Art Journal Journey and to Country View Crafts,
mixed media with autumnal hues
This fun mixed media tag is meant for Simon Monday Challenge,
a walk on the dark side, and Tag Tuesday, all creatures great and small.
Here the skellies (Sizzix die cuts) are taking a walk on the
dark side. The background was painted, brayered and given a coat
of hologram varnish. The owls were punched; the bats are
also a Sizzix die cut:
The pre-dawn photos were taken a couple of weeks back:
These photos were taken in the garden where I live:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Lieben Gruss Elke

ReplyDeleteYour AJJ, etc. page is beautiful. These are the feelings of autumn, that's for sure. Nicely photographed, too. I also like your tag. It's a great take on great and small.
ReplyDeleteYour holly is wonderful. I've had mine for about 10 years or more, and have never had the berries. They make the bush. I also LOVE the moon shot. That feels ethereal.
Glad to hear you are on improve Valerie. Getting better is the most important thing, but for me at least, doing a little helps my spirit improve too. Love the bird piece today. It feels like fall and is really pretty. And since I have gotten into Halloween art, am loving your tag too. Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe colors really capture fall and I love the silhouettes.

Wonderful Autumn page.I love the lettering and the crow. The skelly tag made me smile. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Fall has certainly arrived at your house. The photo of the red leaves cascading down the brick wall is beautiful. All the photos are. My favorite is the crescent moon. Glad your feeling better, and the housework can wait.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. I adore the words that go with this one too. Cute Halloween tag! Those red leaves against the brink are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the tags and the lovely photos. I do hope you get back to your normal self, hang in there. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteHoping that you get back to your normal self very soon Valerie and do take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous artwork and love the blue tinge on the crow which looks like the sheen on the feathers you often get.
Lovely pics too especially the red creeper.
Hugs, Fliss xx
Glad to read that you are feeling a little better! I started by looking at your T post but became worried so haven't left a comment there yet! I did look at your last two posts though and I must say that your journal pages are wonderful as are the photos! Autumn has arrived here too while we have been away but I have been trying to get caught up with paper work and sort out a few problems - hubby's phone, trying to get the photos of my phone, paying bills, unpacking and washing etc….etc…etc!! Take care, Hugs, Chrisx
