Hi Everybody!
This Tuesday we are starting a new theme on our
blog. Our lovely and talented Joan is hosting, and has chosen
a wonderful, summertime theme of ' the Beach'.
For my details of how to join in, hope over and have a look!
I made a tag using some scraps of paper saved from a
pack I got free some years back with a magazine.
I sewed torn paper layers together to make the
beach, added a beach hut, a boat and the rather over-sized gull. I
left the wing-tips free so I could roll them to give more dimension.
The bunting was fussy cut and glued over a cotton thread.
Lastly, I sewed everything together onto some white
painted corrugated cardboard and added the rickety fence.

For Go Tag Thursday I made a digital tag using
one of my heads filled with my version of Vincent's
starry night. The BG is a photo taken from my window:
Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday,
so I would like to give a warm welcome to all of the
nice ladies of the T Gang. My drink today is
cappuccino shown in my mug of the day:
I made a Philadelphia coconut/mango cake last week and
forgot to take a photo, this one is courtesy Philadelphia.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love both tags, the beach scene looks very inviting, love the bunting, too. Do I see van Gogh in the moon? Lovely detail! Beautiful photos, as always, and I always love your little market. Hugs, Sarah
Lieben Gruss Elke
Love your fantastic beach themed tag, it looks a wonderful scene to spend some time relaxing on the beach. Good to see I'm not alone fussy cutting today.
ReplyDeleteYour head art piece looks wonderful as well, with your own photo as a background, super quote and images.
I would have been easily tempted in the market, those vegetables looked so fresh, it was good seeing them laid on the table and not prepacked like in our supermarkets.
Your coffee cup looks super and I'm sure the cake was yummy.
Happy T day Valerie.
Yvonne xx
Lovely beach tag and a beautiful Starry Night one! The cake looks so good and your flowers look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLovely tags! The first really captures the joy of visiting the beach, the images and colours are perfect 😀. Your starry night is so beautiful too! What a great coffee mug and that cake look delicious - wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteLove your little beach scene! How wonderful to have a head full of starry night - this is fabulous and I love the quote! Your coffee cup is fabulous - pity you made the cheesecake at different time - they look as though they are meant to go together! The sky pics are great and I do love it when you show us around your town! I got a bargain gerbera plant last week and it' still going strong! Happy T Day! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteLove your beach tag-yes- a most favorite theme of mine!! Love the creative starry night piece.
ReplyDeleteI want that coffee mug!
That special cake looks fabulous and sounds equally tasty-just glad I can imagine it and without the calories:):)
Lovely out and about photos too. Happy T day!
Valerie, your beach tag is about the cutest tag I've seen yet! So many clever details. And your great stitching adds quite a special touch. I love the broken picket fence and the banner (bunting). You outdid yourself! Well maybe not, but you certainly outdid me!
ReplyDeleteLove your starry night head as well. Starry Night is one of my favorite works of art. I know, me and half the western world, right?
That's a very pretty cuppa. Thank you and Philadelphia for the scrumptious Philadelphia coconut/mango cake ;-)
Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
What a perfect day at the beach you depicted in your tag. I simply adore it. I also like the Van Gogh inspired digital entry, too. Yes, Starry Night is a big favorite of mine and so many others.
ReplyDeleteIt's been awhile since I've seen your naked man sculpture in town. The market looked very busy that day. The veggies all looked so fresh, too.
Oh wow, I love that mug. It has everything on it. It's a real beauty. And I would gladly share a cappuccino with you, as well as a piece of cheesecake.
Thanks for sharing your two tags, your walk to the open market, the lovely mug, cappuccino, and cheesecake with us for T this Tuesday.
Happy T Day Valerie. I love your idea of using Vincent as the moon. :) Another stunning head. And you tag makes me want to be at the beach for sure. Its a great tag. So mny cool things to see. Hope its a wonderful Tuesday. Hugs-Erika

Your tag is wonderful and really celebrates Summer. I'm charmed by your digital tag especially Vincent's face as the moon. Loved walking through the market. Even the statue in the fountain looks like he's taking a stroll. The giant teddy bear made me smile. Made me think of a giant gummy bear. The gerbera daisies looks so pretty in the blue vase. Have a very Happy T Day

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing potos of your market.I almost recognise bits of it. The 'bear' is great. Are they all over town or is it a one off? I love the stand with the lavender and other herbs. It must smell lovely.
Your cappuccino looks delish and the mug is fab.
