Hi Everybody!
Hope your week is going well.
Today I have a hybrid piece, using a photo taken last week as the
background. The face is one of my drawings, placed into
my digital programme. I added some flowers, embellies and a feather
from Mischief Circus.

This little tag was made with leftover scraps which were flying about
on my table. I sewed them together and added the gull's feather
and the shells. I am linking to Tag Tuesday, Joan's theme
of 'the beach':

Here in our little town there was a lot going on last week
for various festivals:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi my friend. You know there really is no artist like you and that face is wow factor, amazing and so gorgeous. Your imagination is beyond the normal and love that too.

I was so impressed with your AJJ entry. It is fabulous. And the beach tag is fabulous. I've got to think of something that is beachy soon, so I can enter before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photos of all the banners/buntings. They certainly make the town seem festive. Will they remain in place for the Tour de France? I bet you are excited to see that! Hope your day is lovely, dear friend.
Lovely to see your town in festival look, bunting always reminds me of seaside holidays. Beautiful page for our journal, love the combination of face and photo. And the beachy tag is fab, love hoe you made it. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteFantastic artwork on the page you made Valerie. Love the way you used your photograph as a starting point.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag with the colours and images of the seaside.
The photographs are great as always and how strange that you have some with a brass band. When we went to Scarborough on Monday they are staging a big brass band competition and the bands are practicing all over the place. A few of the bands were from Germany. They looked so smart and had lots of winners medals.
Have a good day--hope it isn't the same rain as here and more is forecast.
Love Chrissie xx
The bands here mostly play quite well when they are sober - in the course of festivals and after several beers they don't always hit the right tones!
Deletebeautiful card and LOVE the tag
ReplyDeleteLove your art work ...
ReplyDeleteThose cloud photographs are great and your town looks so colourful.
Summer town festivals and events can be such fun.
Enjoy your day.
All the best Jan

Sweet tag and your drawn face is beautiful. hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteSweet sea tag. It's all about the beach in the next couple towns over and the summer holidays have begun. I try and avoid it all for the traffic. I do like a beach walk in the evening though and sometimes we pop over. Otherwise it's early morning and the river. xox
ReplyDeleteEarly morning and river both sound very good!
DeleteI love how your background worked with the photo and how you can turn scraps into something so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of using a photo as a background. Wow-it makes a really cool page Valerie. And nice tag too. :) I like this beach theme. Your little town is very pretty and looks like it has some older buildings. It looks really interesting. Hope your heat has gone away and the temperatures are cooler. Hugs-Erika
