Blue skies and more

Hi Everybody!

Yesterday the temperature here went up to over 38°, which
was too hot for me, especially as it was 34° inside,
but today is cooler and that's good.

I made a hybrid piece inspired by an illustration in my copy of
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday, and Art Journal Journey, circles:

For Tag Tuesday I have one more textural tag. The background was
made with alcohol ink in greens and blues, onto which I
collaged a floral napkin:

I overlaid it with a layer of embossed and glittered acetate:

I added more dimensional embellies:

This sunflower fits well to the tag!

The
These photo were taken back in spring, I love the beautiful skies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. OMGosh. I absolutely LOVE your photos today. Those contrails are really something. They are in every photo you took of the sky. They certainly contrast nicely with the Rhine.

Your art is great, too. I was especially impressed with the step out photos of your texture tag. It turned out gorgeous. Just heavenly.

  4. Wonderful artwork today. The head piece is breath taking with the very beautiful images you added to your head shape.

The textures tag is stunning as well with so much to inspire and admire on it.

Great photographs of cooler times. My daughter will be melting in Dusseldorf as I don't think it has ever reached 38 in Cumbria. She will be pleased to flying home today I imagine.

    Have a great day

    Love Chrissie xx

  5. Totally amazing artwork Valerie! Gorgeous pics too.
I'm ashamed to admit that I struggled with the heat at 28 degrees when you had to cope with such hot temperatures over there!
Hope it's a lot better today as it is here.
