Saturday is tag day

Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!

For Tag Tuesday, Michele's lovely theme of 'animals',
I made a mixed media tag using some tiny animal
stencils, using vintage photo DI. I made a many layered
background, sewed it all together
and added some fibres. You still have more than
a week to join in!

For Go Tag Thursday, roadtrip/holiday
I made a digital tag. I wonder where these
strange people are going with the bike? She looks
quite happy, but the gentleman looks rather
bad tempered. Her bike looks rather modern, too -
perhaps she's time travelling....
I am also linking to Digitally made Challenges
Images used are from Mischief circus

Yesterday was market day, so I walked along the Rhine and
then to the market. I stopped for a cappuccino
at my fave ice parlour before walking round
the market:

Love this old house and the lovely flower-boxes:

Plants growing on the wall:

On my way home I was smiled at by lot of flowers:

We had some stormy rain-showers this week which
left some of my feathered friends looking
very bedraggled and badly in need of food:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. The tag is stunning Valerie. I have to mention your wonderful sewing and how neat it always looks on everything. I still have some of the animal print card that you sent to me so must get it out and make another tag for the challenge. Great stencils to use as well they match everything else.

The 2nd tag is just so beautiful and deserves to be a book cover as it conjures up a really romantic story. Always love to see your own writing on things as well.

Terrific photographs with the wonderful wild rose picture. I can't pass one of those with smelling them. We grew a few from hips I picked on the seafront but they have yet to flower--I am hopeful but they haven't the last 2 years.

Thank you for sharing all of this beauty

    Love Chrissie xx

  3. Both tags are fabulous, as always I wonder how you find all your ideas. Chrissie is right, this would make a fab book cover, now you just need to write the rest of the story....It's grey and very muggy here, perhaps I will take the kids to a museum, they'l like that. Thanks again for sharing the beautiful photos. Hugs, Sarah

  6. Your two tags are beautiful and so very different. The animals look like those I find in my zoo. You did a great job stenciling AND sewing the layers together. I swear you have the NEATEST stitches!

That vintage digi tag is amazing. That old bike is a gem, and the woman looks right at home next to it.

The photos of the market are great. I'm always glad when you take us there. So many veggies, so little time!

  10. Great tags Valerie!!! You have a fantastic assortment of stencils and stamps ♥ I'm a bit on the jealous side about that. :) The market looks great and you certainly did have a lot of flowers smiling at you. We've major power and internet issues this week with two days having no internet or air conditioning and only power in half of the house. They have a temporary patch on the power right now and will hopefully get it permanently fix one day this week. So it'd been hard for me to post and even read anything on line.

  18. Your animal tag is great Valerie. I love how you used the animal skin background-it really feels like the African Savannah and jungle. :) I also love the digital tag too. I wondered if the background was one of your photos, but I guess not. And your nature is very far ahead of ours, but we've been so cold. Not a warm spring for sure. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. hugs-Erika
