Hi Everybody!
Here's wishing you all a good start in the new week!
Today is day 3 of our 'time' challenge at Art Journal Journey.
I made an A3 mixed media page. The background was gessoed and stenciled in red and black. After adding the images I added some colour, and had fun giving Einstein a red tongue!
We had great weather today, warm and with almost no wind. I enjoyed watching the ships on the Rhine:
Loved the name of this ship:
I walked to a neighbouring village
And visited Schloss Kalkum again. It was really surreal, the reflections on the water were so clear that they looked more real than the reality. I was so fascinated that I almost walked into the moat as the reflection was so deceptive:
Here it was also hard to say what was real and what was the reflection:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Gorgeous photos from your walk today. Those reflections are great. And I love Einstein. Perfect for the time theme! I never thought of using him, but that's the best thing about AJJ (and others), getting to see how other respond to challenges. Hope you are having a great start to week.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Valerie. You no doubt are in bed and already have posted Monday's journal page. What a wonderful way to start our week with Einstein and the "out of this world" photos. They are marvelous and I can see right down into the water as you stated. GORGEOUS. I also liked your Sunday page a lot. I didn't get up early and then had to go to the store as we were running low on supplies so my day was consumed with chores and a little experimental fun in the craft room this evening. You accomplish so much and still get in your long walks. I admire you in many ways. I hope you have a wonderful week. It was extra hot here today.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

ReplyDeleteDeutsche Sprache sehr schwere Sprache ....
Yes, German speak, heavy speak! Ich hab Dich trotzdem verstanden!

ReplyDeleteWas für ein tolles Bild zum Thema "Zeit" ... so passend! Fabelhafte Idee!

Love your time page this morning Valerie and your photos are gorgeous as always. I love the shots with the water, so refreshing looking! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteEinstein is ALWAYS a good subject when it comes to time. Really clever entry.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, I was really impressed with your photos and the reflections. They make the scene in the photo seem even larger than it is. Enjoyed your walk, the reflections, and the Temptation, too.
I think we all enjoy temptation from time to time!
DeleteYour Einstein piece made me giggle Valerie.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good quote and great collage too!
Life is just full of temptation isn't it ;-) ...
glad you stayed out of the moat and kept snapping those fab photos!
You remind me of me enjoying the world thru the camera lens is such fun...
you get to see it again and again because you've frozen it in time on your photographs ♥

Heheheheh - dear me... that tongue - heheheheheeh!!! How, when, where to you dream these things up Valerie - eheheheh!!! This is just so fun. SMILING BIG.
ReplyDeleteAlso love the photos. That last one - "what is real and what is reflection" - gave me pause. What a great thought to apply to our lives. And that photo - seriously Valerie - it should win a prize - it's beautiful. Xj.
Your photographs are sublime, you could have wonderful exhibitions with these. The reflections show what a calm warm day it is.
ReplyDeleteEinstein doesn't seem worried about the passage of time, maybe because he thinks it is relative, but it is going so fast here it could possibly be tomorrow by the time I finish typing this comment.
Well, it' still today here - I think!
DeleteWhat a beautiful place!!! Love visiting you!
ReplyDeleteEinstein is a hoot!!!!!!!!!!
Great page and you are right - those reflections look crisper than the real thing. I can imagine you almost walking into the moat.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Teresa
