Hi Everybody!
Another week has flown by, and it's Friday already, which means it's time for Paint Party Friday, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin.
At Art Journal Journey our theme is masculine and feminine, and I chose to do a page with Adam and Eva and back to the garden. Joni Mitchell's song was going around in my head while I was making it, so I have included it here as a little tribute to past days of love and peace and Woodstock.
The A3 background was painted with black Gesso mixed with dark blue and sprinkled with fairy dust as star dust was not so readily available in my stash.
The images are from Stencilry, and the other parts have been stenciled with white and gold.
I am also linking to Moo Mania and More, anything goes.
Some photos from my walk along the Rhine and through our little town:
I just love this one:
Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love it so much! However I may curse you as that song will not leave my head now...Love the song and the lyrics...Loved the era and Joni so much!! Great post!! Lovely photos!

ReplyDeletea great idea for the theme and I love the starry night sky and the out there cosmic feel to Adam and Eve. I'd never heard that song before so thanks for sharing the video!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to find in your town endless lovely architecture and interesting features - I do like the ship. I wonder what the flower in the third photograph is, quite unusual, little tulip shapes.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite fascinated by your luminous Adam and Eva painting.
I think it's white campion, they grow wild all along the Rhine
DeleteThanks, have a good day, maybe with some some sun and warmth.
DeleteThanks, have a good day, maybe with some some sun and warmth.
DeleteYes, you're going to have us all singing that song now! You live in such a lovely town Valerie, very pretty pics. Xx
ReplyDeleteI love your Adam and Eve page and the great quote.
ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
Lovely post and pfotographs. I so much love the wild roses, and am so looking forward for them to arrive here as well.
ReplyDeleteJust reading your title puts that song in my head. Great piece. Adam and Eve really pop on that black background, and I think it shows a lot of symbolism too-about where they ended up, a much darker place than the garden they were banished from...nice. And gorgeous walk photos. The flowers are around you are particularly wonderful right now.
ReplyDeletefantastische journalseite, und dann das lied von joni mitchell dazu... ich schwärme! auch das goldene schild mit dem schiff ist total schön!
ReplyDeleteJa, das Lied lässt Erinnerungen wachwerden!

ReplyDeletea really dreamy page Valerie-I can just imagine all the shimmer in person! Thanks for another interesting walk too:)
ReplyDeleteVery nice page and photos today--hope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour Adam and Eve look great with the black gesso background. I am just now trying to learn to use black gesso. It really does make the images stand out. I enjoyed your video since by 1969 I was an old married woman with 2 kids and didn't even think about going to Woodstock. I do remember the hippie look and sound. Now I am wondering if there was a surge in population in May 1970. Your photos are always such a refreshing way to start off my Fridays. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am sure there was!
DeleteLove and peace! We need both in this crazy world...
ReplyDeleteI love those houses..I guess they are 'new' even if the design looks 'old'...really nice!
Have a sunny weekend!
They are ancient, our little town is 1300 years old!
