At the Seaside

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and that the weather is being kind to you!

For Art Journal Journey, the sea, I have made a mixed media piece, 'a Bird's Eye View'. The background is water coloured, the boats, standing seagulls, the beach-hut and the back row of deckchairs have been stamped and coloured with inks, the flying seagulls and the front row of deckchairs have been collaged, and the car with the happy holiday makers was drawn and coloured with inks. I used the inks for colouring today as they have nice, bright colours. This was a fun piece to make. I am also linking to Country view crafts, simply scenic, and to Mix it Monthly, a happy couple - I have 2 happy couples of seagulls here, and a happy couple in the car!

The moon was shining yesterday evening although it was still light

And some photos from today's walk along the Rhine, always a wonderful place to be:

  2. Ha ha, this is such a fun page. The sea gulls comment is pretty funny. Feels like summer with all beach chairs...and wow, it is already so green where along the Rhine. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    2. Haha! well now we know, they talk about us of course - and discuss the best way to steal our ice-creams and sandwiches.

  8. Love the photographs and especially the wonderful horse chestnut tree in blossom.

Great seaside page with lots of colour and fun.. Wish the weather would get better for it to become a reality on our beach. It was sunny yesterday but with a very cold wind. Our neighbour Carol was all alone with the donkeys on the beach and she has to stay there until 5'oclock when the owner picks them up.

    Have a good day

    Love Chrissie xx

  19. A fantastic fun beach scene. Love the quote from the sea gulls and had a good laugh. They do swoop down close to folk, especially if they are eating at the time.
