Hi everybody!
It's weekend again, I know some of you will be looking forward to some time to relax and play. As a pensioner I have weekend every day!
Thanks for all the good wishes for my eye-hospital appointment, the post operative control was okay, and the retina on my left eye was lasered to stabilise it. It was all rather strenuous, but I'm happy it's over and done with till the next time!
Yesterday I finished doodling the images on my Journal-page, and I like how it has turned out.
Today I am had time to play again, so made a collage using the other half of the brush-wipe page I used yesterday. I printed the image of the lady with hat, after reducing some of the decorations digitally. Then I threw everything I found flying around on my table onto it, after stenciling the background with diamonds, numerals and alphas. I added some scraps of old letters too, and a fussy-cut TH bird which I stamped with Archival black. I am linking to AJJ - fantasy scene and to Paint Party Friday,
and Paper Saturdays
On my way to the Eye specialist this morning I met this little fellow on the path near the Old Ferry. He let me get quite close, too. I love how the fur blends with the colour of the earth:
And then he decided to dive back into his burrow:
Have a great day you all, take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

Your collages are fantastic beautiful! Also the photos of the nature and hare.
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, I love the doodles on your fantasy page, they are beautiful. Cute bunny on your walk, we have lots of them that live under our trees and run around in our backyard. One of our cats keeps stalking them, but he can't catch them, they are too big and too fast. Have a great weekend, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteMy dog used to love trying to catch rabbits, too, but she never quite managed it!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to know your eye is better. I would miss all your beautiful art. The photos always delight me. Geeesss I have not seen a rabbit since we moved to the Oregon coast. I guess it just to wet and cold for them here. Sewing machine or chopping veggies it hurts the fingers either way. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave very nice weekend

Valerie, you make me chuckle and it is a delight to visit your page almost every morning. Your 'doodle' art is wonderful and here we call it a zentangle effect. You did a fantastic job, by the way. Happy your eye appointment went well and you were able to walk and enjoy the countryside including the little brown rabbit. Have a creative weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C
I am glad your eye appointment went well! The doodle page is stunning! I like your "throw it all on the page" attitude!
ReplyDeleteLovely pages and photographs every one. The white pen doodling on the background is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the eye op went well and hope things keep on improving.
Why is it that well into retirement as I am, there doesn't seem to be as much time for things I want to do as when I was dashing about in my working lived!
Hey! I really like your journal page - it is so much fun. That was my first thought and then I saw the word fun - I am smiling ear to ear. Hope all went well at your doctor's visit.
ReplyDeleteYour lady with the hat is out of this world fantastic! Love the colors - love the bird's hat with the cat! That is just too funny - the cat on the hat with a bird feather sitting on a bird. I love cows - they have the prettiest faces. Of all the things you have done, I definitely think this is one of my favorites!
