Hi you all, hope you are managing to keep warm. It was -9° when I got up this morning, just freeeeezing! It has warmed up a bit during the day, but it's still -3°. I went out for a walk again. Yesterday I walked through the fields, it felt like the wastes of Siberia - looked like it, too, and all I met was a fox, who glared at me and then ran off as fast as his legs would take him. Today I took a longer way, past the duck pond, and the stables. The pond is partly frozen, and the horses were all wearing their winter coats, as I was, too. I stomped through the snow for a good 5 miles, so I was very proud of myself, and very tired by the time I got back.
For Paint Party Friday I am sharing a doodle drawing/painting. It has been drawn with a fine liner and coloured with prismalo water colour pencils and paint. It is trying to show a bad dream.
I have made a card, which I am entering into 2 challenges. At Craftroom the challenge is to do something monochrome, and at Art-Cards-Challenge Blog they want to see something with a Tamp-a-tile. I have kept my card in brown tones, using DI vintage photo and Adirondack Espresso. Different parts have to be masked to get the patterns where they should be. The background stamps used are all from LaBlanche, the Leonardo lady is from Lost Coast Designs.
This shows the stamping before adding the embellies.
Well, I think that was enough for today, hope you haven't gone to sleep already. Have a good day, take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
Lovely photos, it looks really cold! Your painting and card are both really good, as always, and the card is very unusual. Hugs, Sarah

Hi Valeries. Wow, those are great shots. Love those horses with their jackets. Your doodles as you call them don't look like doodles to me. Fine piece of art in my opinion. Hey girl, stay warm and remember you are still healing, so take care.
ReplyDeleteYour painting is absolutely fascinating. I'd like to sit with for awhile and meditate on it. LOVE the card - the trim under the lady looks like metal - is it? Lovely walk as well -- and 5 miles ... do hope you are not pushing yourself too hard. The walk scenery looked wonderful though. Take care. hugs, Donna

I enjoyed seeing your winter photos. It is the same temperature here too if the -0 meant Celsius. It was right at 16° F here this morning when I walked to the paper box at the roadside. Lovely doodle. The colors are gorgeous. Thanks for visiting my blog, Valerie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post, so many great images....I love your doodle and card...and your horse pics are great. We also have horses but they don't wear blankets in winter, they think they are something they must destroy so it's useless! lol Happy PPF!
