Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday. This time it's my turn to post and I have chosen Valentine's Day as my challenge. As always, you have 2 weeks to join us and link your tag(s), and tags of all formats and styles are welcome. But it must be a tag!
Today I have had to more or less duplicate my Tag Tuesday post, as my crappy internet is really driving me mad and I need to get this done before the it collapses again, or before I fall off my chair, something like that!
I painted 2 large sheets of watercolour paper with a mix of purple, dark pink, white and some splatters in silver and gold, and used them to die cut hearts, strips and other bits and bods, and then set to work to put them together. I used all sorts of tag shapes and just had fun. I am showing three today and will be back in the course of the week to add some more. And I am very much looking forward to seeing your tags!
The first one is a sort of 'Victorian' valentine with lace, flowers and hearts:
It's not nice when your internet or computer plays up!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your tags though.
Have a happy Tuesday.
All the best Jan

Thanks Jan, my internet is more than frustrating! Hugs!
DeleteLovely pieces Valerie sorry about your internet it sounds frustrating -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, I need to complain again, I think I will change to another company!
DeleteGreat tags! I admire your commitment too, eating the chocolate to get the card. oh, tis an evil job, but someone's got to do it! lol Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb, so happy that you recognise my commitment! And if you were nearer I would have let you help! Have a good week, hugs!
DeleteIf it's not one thing, then it's another. Your internet, our electricty this evening. Thank goodness for the generator but it takes 20 seconds to come on and that's weird. Our so-called smart tv reverts back to a different input when we get a power blip and so we have to re-program that plus all the electric clocks start blinking. Anyway, it's fun to use different bases for tags, isn't it? You have a lovely assortment. I still have Marie stuff out, may do a few Valentine Maries, lol. Have a good week, xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you are so right. My TV is not smart at all, I think it's suffering from old age, like me! My clocks don't blink, but I think they have batteries in them! Marie Valentine's sound great, I think I would enjoy them! I have more Valentine's made, it was fun making something different and using my ancient Sizzix dies. Have a lovely day, take care!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you slept well and are feeling fit! Love the beautiful Valentine's, they are all gorgeous. And thanks for eating the chocolate, how kind. And I hope I find a Valentine in my post! And no, not from my ex! Have a great day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sarah! If course you will get a Valentine in the post, and I have one for little S, too. Your ex doesn't deserve anything! Enjoy your day, hugs to all!
DeleteYour tags are all quite lovely with such amazing details, but the last one is my favorite with those gorgeous colors! I love the heart with wings. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, I always love these rich colours!
DeleteVery nice tags, Valerie, showing the range of your creative skills. Valentine’s Day is a stimulus for everything from true love to merciless marketing to convince people to spend their hard-earned money on ephemera that will find its way to the trash can later. Such is the nature of western capitalism unleashed in all its frenetic greed. Maybe along the way Valentine’s Day fuels a little honest lust too, as hormonal urgency can be confused with other motives in the hormonally-charged young. It seems to me that at one point the celebration was known as St. Valentine’s Day, but the saintly part has been dropped, perhaps in recognition of the simple truth that it no longer is. Your tags are beautiful, however, rising above all of this. Bravo, Valerie. Keep on tagging! Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThanks David. I love playing with paper and colours. I think very few people these days know about the origins of the feast and Saints ' days, and I don't think they care, either. Sad but true. Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteWonderful tags. My favorite is the Victorian Valentine
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ, it's my fave, too!
DeleteHi Val, I love your Valentines, so pretty and romantic. And my fave is the Victorian one, too, but I love them all! I hope your cold is getting better! Get plenty of rest and drink enough. And not just coffee, hi-hi! Hugs, Martha!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. And yes, I do drink other fluids and not just coffee - sometimes, at least! Have a good week, hugs!
