New challenge at TIOT and Tag Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at TIOT and our theme is

All about Santa

As always you have 2 weeks to link to our challenge and projects of all formats are welcome. Please visit the blogs of my teamies and see their beautiful work!

I made a hybrid piece using a painted background and some digital elements:

I am also linking to Jo's challenge at AJJ.

And here is my tag for Tag Tuesday. Our lovely Michele is hosting and has chosen winter holidays as her theme. This challenge also runs for 2 weeks. Hope to see you there:

And some seasonal images:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

    2. I agree. They really are. This year at Aldi for under ten bucks I got a gnome matt and the pups just love it. So fun.

  5. What a fabulous Santa page! I love the Santa image you used, he is so jolly and cheerful 😊. Thanks for the inspiration at AJJ too, that's a beautiful snowy winter scene. Of course all your seasonal images are wonderful too, especially the dog in his jumper! Take care and wishing you a lovely week - Happy Christmas and New Year! Hugs Jo x

    1. Thanks Jo, glad you like it. We used to dress our dog in a jumper for christmas, and she didn't want us to take it off her! Have a wonderfu week, hugs, Valerie

  6. Ah Santa. He is everywhere you look now, especially in areas where you may be induced to part with your money. I am already a little tired of his plastic presence, but even more of the ubiquitous carols that impregnate the air, and are repeated over and over. Many sound like they are being performed by a choir at its first rehearsal and choirmaster forgot to show up. Frankly, I will be glad when it's all over! Hugs and kisses - David

    1. You and me both! I don't celebrate Xmas, and there are always so many 'fun' challenges with snow, Santa etc. Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh! At least they don't seem to play carols so much here, that really is something. The main thing is that the money in the till makes a nice noise! We had a hard frost in the night, and it looks very pretty outside with everthing white - but sooooo cold! Big hugs, Valerie xxx

  7. I love your cheery and fat Santa. This is a very clever idea to use him in both your journal page and your tag. Thanks for sharing him at Art Journal Journey using Jo's theme, too. He is really adorable.

  9. What a fun Santa page. He sure made me smile. And I love how he showed up in your tag too. It's almost that time of year, isn't it? And I love the idea of winter holiday's for Michele's challenge at TIOT. Today is an art day for me (other than to scrape off the snow from the back deck that I never did yesterday) so I will be making a tag or 2. Have a great Tuesday. hugs-Erika

    SANTA

  23. I love all the tiny figures on your tag, how delightful those boys and girls are.
The first thing I noticed on your Journal page with a great big fat jolly Santa centre stage is the texture you gave us in your background. I love it when I can see texture somewhere in a painting and it is something I rarely include myself so I look forward to seeing it in someone else's work.
The silhouette figures work so well here and I adore the line of stockings hanging at the top with the jolly fat robin echoed in Santa.
    Hugs, Neet xx
