Hi Everybody!
Sorry I'm late visiting some of you, I'm still in the clinic and don't always have time, at least not as much as I have at home!
I have a new piece for Erika's let's face it challenge at AJJ. The image is from Gecko Galz, mounted on 2 hand-painted papers. The text was added digitally, my writing is not legible just now!
Let's see what you make of this one, my friend H thought the girl was wearing broccoli!
I am linking to Paint Party Friday

Hi Val, good morning! Hope all is well at the clinic! Love the beautiful faces today, so elegant! Have s great day, hugs from all all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, thanks a lot. Hope your tribe is doing well! Hugs to all!
DeleteGorgeous photos Valerie, love the freezing mist and especially that moon. Also thanks for the thinkies, I don't know where you find them all but they are such good fun.
ReplyDeleteYour lat4est portrait is lovely too and it's a good idea to sometimes use a partial face in our work. Great texture.
The faces - well, what can I say, they are beautiful. What a fabulous set of faces they are. All so beautiful - each one different and yet the idea is carried through from one to the other. Love it. A favourite of mine.
Hugs and hope you are feeling a bit better each day.
Neet xx
Thanks so much, Neet! Freezing mist looks beautiful, but it was cold! Glad you like the faces! I love that art déco image, too!
DeleteThank you for this latest post from the Medical and Therapeutic Club Med with its round the clock food kitchen, with treats to tempt you at all hours of the day. I expect that your angular corners are becoming round and plump. I know they stick needles in you and subject you to other terrors, but it's a small price to pay. I don't think it's broccoli on your femme fatale i think her heart has jumped right out of her chest and has turned green with envy at your private room and all that food on hand. Of course, she knows there are medical staff ready and able to put it right back where it belongs. This siren has wonderful hair too, like strands of giant kelp. She is probably a Pisces. Right now Erika is probably taking notes on the manner in which you formed her nose. Your series of photographs depict winter well, Valerie. Given the huge variety of mystical birds at Balconia-by-the-Rhine it is time for you to gather all the patients at the clinic to guide them on a bird walk to discover the ways in which they tackle the winter. I will look forward to your report - with pictures of course. Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteThanks for this fun comment David, you always make me laugh! Last night we really had a feast, and cooked and baked lots of delicacies, I think I need to buy new Jeans! Yes I think my lady is showing her heart, but why is green is another reason! We are having wintry weather, but nothing like your temperatures, and in between even some sun, so that's good. I think if I were to try to take everybody on bird walk there would be some heartfelt protest! But I will see if i can find some strange birds or other critters on my ramblings. There are a lot of red squirrels here, and a few mice in the gardens, who get fed with all the crumbs each day, and They are not shy at all. I love watching them. Have a great day, keep warm, hugs!
DeleteI like that image with all the faces for AJJ Valerie. It looks like the ladies in some sci-fi-ish film, but since movies don't tend to stick long term in my head like they do some people, I can't place it. But it makes a super page for my faces challenge- so thank you very much!!! And they does look like a heart to me. Is she jealous or a nature lover? But its a great piece and certainly not broccoli. I hope your hands improve soon, and sounds like you had fun at the Clinik. Food sometimes is so good for the soul. But not always, that's when your jeans no longer fit. Smile. Have a super end of the "work" week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. I think the girl is a nature lover! The food here is very good, I must learn to say 'no'! Have a wonderful day, take care, hugs!
DeleteI knew immediately that the girl has a green heart, which means that she loves nature. Beautiful photos. I wish you good health:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lucyna, you are right! Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteThe photos are beautiful. I knew it was a green heart. But a broccoli heart is good too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra. We had broccoli and cauliflower at lunch today!
DeleteIt looks like a green heart on the girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's what it is! Hugs!
DeleteThose photos! Brrr!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree it looks like a heart. A heart for green in our life sounds like a good idea.
Yes, that was a very chilly morning with crunchy frost everywhere!
Deletehaha this cat full of snow xd so adorable:D
ReplyDeleteYes, a snow Cat!
DeleteYour photos are beautiful. Indeed, every time you go to the Rhine, I always see something I like. (I also loved that wonderful snowy cat!) I hope the treatments at the clinic are going well. Take care. It's always good to see you here.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, the Rhine is always special and different every day!
DeleteOhhh I love both of these pieces of art. That first one is very futuristic. Hope you are home soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole!
DeleteLots of goodies today. I enjoyed the memes;) AND More great photos. I love photos with light shining through them.
ReplyDeleteLove the 'broccoli' piece:) Maybe she's a vegetarian. Heh.

All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, stay safe!
DeleteWhat a great entry for Erika's theme at AJJ. Very futuristic women. This turned out great. And the other woman looks like she is wearing a green heart.
ReplyDeleteBetween the snowy cat and your frosty photos, I got a chill. Looks like what we are in store for this weekend. Loved the girl and cat in the tree. That was sio cute.
Thanks E. Stay warm, take care!
DeleteWonderful art Valerie, hope being at the clinic is going ok for you. I though the lady had a green heart with her rather than broccoli. Lovely images from the Rhine.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is indeed a green heart!
DeleteLook a little foggy. I'm not sure how I would do brave.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thanks Dora, Stay safe!
DeleteGreat art, lovely pics and a smile what more can one ask? Vee xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Vee, have a great Weekend!
DeleteThe girl is wearing a green heart. Strange looking wild mushrooms on the tree trunk. Freezing mist means it must be very cold.
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed. The mushrooms look really strange!
DeleteWow Valerie, how wonderful is this face, specially with a green heart, that could mean, do what you could to preserve nature, animals, plants and people. Really great !
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the beautiful of the Rhin, I always like your walks. So funny memes !
Have a nice day, sending big hugs
Caty
Thanks Katy, you got it, a heart that's beating for nature!
DeleteBroccoli? It's a beautiful portrait! I love the brave faces page - great faces for Erika's AJJ theme. The photos by the Rhine are fabulous. Hoping that time is passing by pleasantly in the clinic, Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, everything is okay here! Have a great weekend!
DeleteThe women in brave face look very futuristic in the 1930s way of Flash Gordon. Brrrr. Looks very cold along the Rhine. The birds on the weathervane remind me of Gunther the seagull who likes to sit on top of the steeple at Enders Island. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYes those faces are something between art déco and futuristic. Birds always like a good place as a look out!
DeleteBeautiful art Valerie! Is that a green heart? Lovely photos and great memes too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Alison
Yes, it's a green heart! Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
DeleteBeautiful photographs, it's really cold here today and it's been foggy all day which makes it feel even colder. However your art work brightens things up lots so thanks for that. I think the lady is wearing a big green heart shaped brooch. Well that#s what it looks like to me. I thought I was one of your followers but it seemed not but I am now. Hugs, Angela xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela! Cold and foggy all day here, too. Thanks for following me! Have a wonderful weekend, take care, hugs!
DeleteI'm right there with that cat. Looks like the S word is heading our way.

DeleteI have no idea what that green thing is. It looks like a very pretty ornament. Take care. I hope the clinic cures you.
ReplyDeleteThanks a Lot, have a great Weekend.
DeleteLove "showing a brave face" - it reminds me of a modern pop art kind of poster. Your painted lady is lovely but not sure what the green is- kinda looks like an anatomy drawn heart but done green instead of red...
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos of the Rhine area! Happy PPF!
Thanks Linda, have a great Weekend!
DeleteFabulous project and the green sort of looks like her heart is outside of her but green..great frosty photos, nearly cooled me down..
