Hi Everybody!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and here's wishing us all a good week!
Today I have another piece for Erika's challenge at AJJ The lovely lady was a freebie from The Graphics fairy, the background was hand- painted and the text was added digitally:
And today we are also starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, where Wendy is hosting with the theme 'add fabric'. The challenge goes live at 9 p.m. this evening. I have made a digital tag using a painting of mine and some lace:
And today is also Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T gang who visit here:
My cup is always filled with coffee:
Fantastic as always Valerie! Have a great week - hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; have a great week!
DeleteShe is a very lovely lady and what a perfect face for my challenge at AJJ. Thanks. and that is a great tag. I like that shadow. And I like Wendy's fabric theme. And wow, the Rhine is high. I'm glad you can get out for walks. I hope you have a wonderful T day and lots of wonderful cups of coffee this new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; have a great week!
DeleteAwesome art Valerie, our lake is getting lowered a little bit every week now-to handle any snow melts etc. glad you got out for a walk, I enjoy seeing your photos too-we have grey here as well take care and Happy T hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; have a great week!
DeleteInteresting concept "Girl who lost her shadow"
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thanks so much; have a great week!
DeleteLovely art today, enjoyed the photos and memes too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; have a great week!
DeleteBeautiful face. Nice sunrise taken from your window. I love coffee. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Coffee keeps me going!
DeleteHi Val, good morning. Have a good start in the new week. Hope your weekend was good, and that you are feeling a bit better. I've got a quiet day today, so will try to catch up on housework. Have a wonderful Monday, hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks, have a great week!
DeleteThis woman looks sweet and angelic, Valerie, virginal and innocent! And I thought that was an extinct subspecies! Just shows what I know. I am rereading a book called "One River" by Wade Davis (fabulous book) and there are plants in the Amazon headwaters that pack several times the amount of caffeine as coffee, and I immediately thought of you. What a boost you would get with a drink made from that stuff! You'd be flying high the whole day! Better stick to cappuccino perhaps. I am wondering if the shadow in the picture ever found its owner! This morning it is minus twenty here. Tomorrow I will be leading a bird walk, so I hope it warms up at least a little. Frozen fingers are not good for adjusting binoculars! Stay warm and well fed and whatever the doctors tell you. Hugs and kisses, David.
ReplyDeleteHi David. I think women like that are rare these days! I will see if I can get that book on Kindle, Normal books are too small for me to see these days. Well, not the books but the print! Today it's 6° + and sunshine - very Pleasant! I hope you have better temps tomorrow for your bird walk, we don't want all your vital parts to freeze! Like fingers and noses.... We are very well fed here, and always a kitchen full of delicious snacks and coffee! Big hugs to you and Miriam!
DeleteI've read that book by C.S. Lewis, and it is thought-provoking. I'll join you for coffee and hope :) Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteI love C.S. Lewis' books, they are all good! Happy T Day!
DeleteI love the way you combined the freebie with the painting, so cleverly done. I'm wondering what Yoda is up to sitting on the wall! I didn't realise until now how close you are to the river, hope it continues to go down. Here in Lincolnshire they have to keep an eye on water levels as much of the land is very flat and likely to flood. Love how you used the lace too. Have a good week. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela. Yoda on the town wall surprised me, too, not a normal decoration!! I remember the high water problems in Lincolnshire well.
DeleteThis is a nice full post. Beautiful art and wonderful photos. I too really enjoy C. S. Lewis. Have a great day Valerie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, have a great week!
DeleteI love the face on your graphic fairy piece. And of course all your wonderful photos. The Snoopy magazine cover really made me smile!
ReplyDeleteSnoopy always make me smile!

ReplyDeleteYou and me, too!
DeletePretty lady from your art journal page Valerie! And I really like your coffee cups, Happy T-day!
ReplyDeleteThe photographs are very beautiful, despite the cold and grey weather. That´s good to go out for a walk.
I wish you a nice week, big hugs,
Caty
Hi Caty, thanks so much! Have a great week, hugs!
DeleteThe faces page looks like it could be a book jacket. It looks very cold down by the river. You definitely would need a hot cup of coffee. Tea for me, please. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was indeed cold and windy!
DeleteI linked you and will be back soon to read your post.
ReplyDeleteThanks E!
DeleteCold and grey is all around us -- though we had a few hours of sunshine this morning. I wish we had been able to get to Florida but our trip wasn't practical with all the issues that are ongoing now. I hope you will have a good week.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

DeleteYour lady is beautiful and demure. I also like the other elements you added to the painted background. It is very well done and great for Erika's theme at AJJ, too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great take on a tag. Very different, and of course, I always love fabric on art.
I love that second cup for T this Tuesday. It's beautiful and colorful, Very graphic, too. Thanks for sharing your art, your walk, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear.
Demure is a word that's rarely heard these days, I think being demure is out of fashion! Happy T day, take care, stay warm!
DeleteWhat a fabulous page for Erika's AJJ theme. Love the tag - fabric..hmm think I've got some of that! Hope you are still enjoying your coffee at the clinic. Love the photos- the Mersey is high too, the little island has almost disappeared. Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. Fabric is a nice theme indeed! Yes, I'm still enjoying my coffee, thanks! I used to love being by the Mersey! Happy T day!

ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Sitting with animals is really lovely! Happy T Day!
DeleteThe art journal page is so beautiful! I also like your tag very much. What is Yoda doing on that wall? Is the Force with your place?
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Yoda on the old town walls, so funny here in this very conservative place! I hope the Force will definitely stay with us! Happy T Day!

DeleteWhat a lovely young lady. Demure was the word that sprang to mind (other people mentioned it too). I have not read that C.S.Lewis book but I know what it's about
ReplyDeleteThe tag based on your own artwork is beautiful too.
I always enjoy your photos. The Rhine is still very high!
It was a lovely surprise to see Yoda on the wall!
I liked the image with the lamb (and the quote) but my attention went to the beautifully handknitted jumper.
Happy T-Day to you and I hope that your health improves steadily. (I assume you are still at the clinic)
Hugs,
Lisca

ReplyDeleteNow to your journal page - this is a beautiful face you have portrayed for us. Oh to have a lovely chin like herd, such a beauty. Such a lovely young lady, so sweet and demure but also what a gorgeous background you have given us. Love the lettering on the second. photograph.
Hugs Neet xx
Thanks Neet! As an inveterate coffee drinker I love coffee cups! The Rhine is at least in its bed this time, last year we had floods and it was lapping at the town walls! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
