Hi Everybody!
Today I am sharing another piece for Erika's let's face it post at AJJ.
The A3 acrylics painting was inspired by the sort of faces Effy Wild makes. I'm hoping David will be able to tell us what sort of bird it is!
And the photos were taken on this date last year:
and thanks a lot for coming by!
She's beautiful. What hair. And I love the tropical feel this page has, at least it feels tropical to me. And that cute little bird too. Thanks for sharing another page at AJJ for my challenge. I hope life is good at the clinik. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, I wish I had hair like that! Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteI'm clueless what type of bird, but the bird is singing to nice lady. That how I see it.
ReplyDeleteGreat moon photo, it been cloudy and snowy in my community
Coffee is on and stay safe

ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, we shall see!
DeleteYour lady is lovely and I think the bird might be a rare gold crested bluebird lol, lets see what David says!! Great photos too Valerie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, that's a good suggestion!
DeleteI like the face and the little face. Lovely sky and moon shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy, have a great day!
DeleteHi Valerie, I have just found a lot of comments from you on my blog awaiting moderation, they are not coming to my emails for some reason, hopefully I canfix it, but wanted to say thank you for visiting. xx
ReplyDeleteBlogger is causing a lot of problems just now, especially with comments!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Love your Art and photos today, really beautiful. The moon is wonderful. Here everything is okay, Take Care, hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, have a nice day, hugs, to all!
DeleteGuten morgen Frau Doktor Valerie: Not only do I delight in the girl with the hair that flows forever, this morning, I am greeted with yet another enchanting and mysterious creature from the bird-rich region of Balconia-by-the-Rhine, where you have made so many astounding discoveries. It is quite clear that once again you have brought us a bird new to science. From Darwin in the Galapagos to Mayr in Micronesia, your prowess as an ornithological superstar radiates like a celestial beam. It has not escaped my attention that several of the birds of late seem to have an extraordinary attachment to humans, so charged with the task of naming this species, I think that Homophilus (loving humans) would be an appropriate genus and caerulescens as the specific name to represent the colour of its plumage. So there you have it Homophilus caerulescens. As for the common name, I can only offer an English language version and I recommend Spotted Shoulder-sitter, and since birders are often given to shortening names it could easily be known as the SSS. I realize that SS in Germany has sinister connotations and adding a third S might be too much for many, so I will leave it up to you to assign an appropriate teutonic moniker. As always esteemed scholar, I bask in the glory of your erudition, the glow of your scholarship, the bright light of your discovery. Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteThanks David, I always have a smile when I read your comments. I love the name you chose for the bird, a spotted shoulder sitter sounds very good,as does Homophilus Caerulescens. I'm sure it would sound wonderful if I were to tell people I have just painted a Homophilus Caerulescens. It has turned cold here, but today we had sun instead of the miserable grey rain and sleet from yesterday. Have you had any bird walks this week? I hope you were able to get out. I haven't found the nest of the owl but had fun today watching squirrels chasing about and running up the trees and leaping to the next one. Have a wonderful ay, hugs!
DeleteWell, she certainly has the most beautiful head of hair imaginable. What a delightful face you have given us today and I just spotted the bird you mentioned for David to come up with a name for. She is obviously a lady of fashion as she has used blue eyeliner/mascara to go with the blue eyeshadow she had chosen today.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well,
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet. David has now found a good name for the bird, that's fun! The lady wears more make up than I do! The treatment here at the clinic is going well. Hugs!
