Hi Everybody!
Time is flying by again, it's the middle of the week already! Today I am sharing 2 pieces for Erika's let's face it challenge at AJJ. The first is one of my strange ladies with big hair, painted on A3 paper with acrylic paint:
Sorry, this one refused to turn around!
And this is a hybrid piece with flower girl:
And some thinkies:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I do agree with you, the week is flying by!
ReplyDeleteI do like your lady and her wonderful hair.
Your hybrid piece is nice too.
Have a good Wednesday.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, have a great day!
DeleteLovely art and thinkies today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, take care!
DeleteYou've created another beautiful woman in your painting today Valerie. I love how you put leaves in her hair. And those eyes and red lips makes me think she is looking something she finds appealing. And what a wonderful spring/summer page also. The flowers are pretty and the texture all those items create is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing over at AJJ. These are great pieces for the Let's Face It challenge. Its much appreciated as always. Hope your week is going well Valerie and take care. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. Things are moving very slowly here, I'm always too impatient! Have a great day!
DeleteI love the first painting-really beautiful Valerie, and love the second one too. great thinkies this post-first one my favorite-Happy mid week hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, have a great day!

Thanks Yvonne! You stay safe and well, too, hugs!
DeleteGood morning Valerie: Another one of your beauties, with face nestled in her long flowing tresses, peeking out to tease us, and giving rise to thoughts best left unspoken, but enjoyed within the creative recesses of our mind. Miriam will wonder why I am smiling broadly! Yet this one has no birds in her hair, perhaps because she is out at night, based on the starry sky behind her, with hints of Van Gogh delirium. Leaves are lovely, however, and they too adorn her well. I wonder who will appear on your blog to please us next? This morning I will be leading yet another bird walk, Valerie, to be joined by nine other hardy souls, the limit during COVID being ten participants. I hate having to turn people away, but it's first come, first served of necessity. We will all dress appropriately and remain perfectly comfortable. I read Sami's blog from Western Australia this morning, where for days on end the temperature has exceeded forty degrees. How the hell do you cope with that? I hope you will be feeling better soon. It has been a long struggle for you. Hugs and kisses, David
ReplyDeleteHi David, 'm glad I was able to provide you with another lovely girl today, I hope Miriam knows what you are smiling about! I hope you will see lots of beautiful birds on your walk today, I think you are brave to go out when it is so cold. None of my clothes would be suitable for such temperatures. 40° sounds awful, we had a few days last year with over 40° and it was dreadful, especially with no AC. Yes, health-wise it's a struggle just now, today I had to go to another department for a lung function test, there's something new every day! Enjoy your walk, and show us all of the beautiful photos soon. Big hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBoth of these pieces are so well done. I love the face and her hair. That touch of gold on the upper lip is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole! Have a great day!
DeleteOooo, I love this one -her eye color is nice, and the way her hair frames her face, and the design of her hair, and the colors you chose... Wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteThe death of Thich Nhat Hanh is a hard loss :(

DeleteI tried to leave a comment earlier and got FOUR different pictures to identify. Apparently after awhile, they kick you off. I'm back now, and hope the pictures they send today are better than before.
ReplyDeleteYour big haired lady is beautiful. I think this is great. But I think my favorite is the flower girl. Guess I have a soft spot for vintage.
Thanks for sharing these beauties with us for AJJ, dear. I love how great they work for Erika's theme.
Sorry, Elizabeth, I hate those robot thingies, especially when they are in foreign languages! Vintage is always pretty, that's true. Have a great day!
DeleteI love your first piece Valerie, her hair with floating leaves is beautiful and your next piece with all those gorgeous flowers and sweet little girl is just wonderful..
