Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, enjoy! I am still having a lot of after effects from the treatment and Operations in the hospital, I'm trying to be a patient patient....So I spent most of the day doing nothing!
This painting is one I made in creative therapy at the clinic. I saw a similar painting made by Effy Wild on her facebook page, and just had to case it. It's an A3 mixed media piece made with acrylics. I still like Effy's version better, but was quite satisfied with mine. I added a Horus eye to mine, just felt like it. I also made a second version of it, which I will show another time:
Tracey just reminded me that the text is not in English! The words mean: However dark and heavy the night is, love lights up the darkest dark!
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi Valerie, I love those feathers on your page. It is hard to be patient for sure-hugs
ReplyDeletewe have the same weather here on the lake-today first sunshine in a week-Happy weekend hugs
Thanks Kathy, isn't it good to see the sun again?! Enjoy your weekend!

DeleteYour art is beautiful and the photos are great, but please don't overdo it. Take it easy for awhile! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha, stay safe. Have a great weekend!
Lieben Gruss Elke
Vielen Dank, liebe Elke! Ich muss diesmal viel ruhen, anders geht es nicht! Dir ein schönes Wochenende, pass auf dich auf!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Another wonderful post with a super painting and beautiful sky photos. I know I'm repeating what others have said, but REST! You have been through a very hard time lately and need to respect the demands of your body! Have a restful day, read, do a TV binge, sleep! Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! I am resting, really, I don't have the strength to do anything else! Have a great weekend! Hugs to all!
DeleteThanks Laurie. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are resting Valerie there's still plenty of things you can do whilst putting your feet up. Great take on Effy's piece, love how the bright colours push into the darkness and those feathers are smashing. I'm wondering what those words read.
ReplyDeleteGrey days here too, looks like they are in for the weekend, so my craft room awaits...
Take good care Valerie Hugs Tracey xx
Thanks Tracey! Sorry, I didn't realise that the text was in German! I've translated it now and added it to the post! 'However dark and heavy the night is, love lights up the darkest dark!' Have a great weekend Sweetie!
DeleteI do like those last few photos, the sun surrounded and framed with all those fiddly, twiddly scroll like branches. Have an easy weekend, my friend. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, have a great Weekend!
DeleteI always love the feathers ... they remind me of my mom! Your page is beautiful! The quote is also beautiful ...
ReplyDeleteToday is very sunny here and I am very happy, spring has started!
Hello Gorgeous! So glad that you are home en that you are doing wel! Hugs!
Have a nice weekend! xoxo
Thanks Ella! Feathers are always fascinating and beautiful. The sun is shining here, too, lovely! Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteThis is a breath-taking artwork, I took some time just to gaze at it. I just love the bird, sitting there peacefully, thinking these deep thoughts, and I like to think he decorated the branch with his collected beads and feathers.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the flower moon and for another lovely entry to our challenge at AJJ.
Thanks Sheila, glad you like it, it reminds me of the crows in the tree behind the house. Hmm, I have collected beads and feathers here! Have a great weekend!
DeleteOy vay, a Horus eye so early in the morning! Who can deal with mathematics and squares and such things at this hour when it is barely light outside. The crow can, that's who, because she is so smart. For mere peasants like me it's enough if I can get the milk in my cereal bowl to the right level. It is a pleasure to receive communication from you Valerie Darling from your residence at Balconia-by-the-Rhine, ensconced there as you are, no doubt pondering your next area of ornithological research in presenting new, wonderful, off the beam species to the world. Maybe you even discovered a few clinic-lurking variations during the past three months, given your sleuthing proclivities in uncovering the new, the bizarre and the unusual. And we are still only talking about birds. Enjoy the weekend as much as you can. Get outside and embrace fresh air and sunshine if you are up to it. All of Canada is rooting for you. Maybe we will bang pots and pans outside this even to cheer you on. The whole street will join in! Hugs and kisses, with extras even. David
ReplyDeleteHi David! Crows are really smart, I love watching them. As you may have noticed, this is one of Balconia's special species. And yes in the clinic we had a red cross robin, I will show you photos sometime. At the moment I need to remain home, I hope I can get out again next week. Now I know what that strange noise this morning was, I thought it was a revolution! Hope you have a good weekend! Hugs to you both!
DeleteThis is very good, I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lin, have a great weekend!
DeleteI keep looking for the sun here but I think it has gone into hiding.
ReplyDeleteLove love this page - the colours are so strong and it is absolutely beautiful. Lovely idea to change the moon for the flower.
So glad you are resting, the best cure for everything.
Take care, hugs, Neet xx
ps lovely words
Thanks Neet! I'm enjoying listening to an audio book with my feet up! Have a great weekend, stay safe!
DeleteI can image you are very happy to be home and to get back to normal. Better to relax and not end up back in the hospital though. Today's art is different from your usual and I can see why you were inspired to make it. The eye of Horus really fits crows, doesn't it? I like the dark to light background too. Enjoy the sunshine from your resting. Sunshine is a great cure for almost anything, especially on the first day spring. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika! Sometimes it's nice to do something different! Have a great weekend!
