Hi Everybody!
Hope your week is going well!
Today I have an A3 piece to share that I made in the creative therapy at the clinic. We had to choose three cards with different words and then create something to show the meaning of the words. I chose Balance, Bewegung (movement) and Ruhe (quiet). I used stencils for the ballerina and circles. I used pink and black, and sponged the background with diluted pink.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday
And I made a digitally altered version for Sheila's single flower challenge at AJJ:
The journal page fits well to Rain's TAD theme, movement / motion. And I have some photos, too:
These photos were accidentally taken while adjusting my camera on the balcony one evening:
And I always love the movement of the moon and clouds:
I re-arranged my flowers this week to make the best of those that were still good:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Beautiful artwork and photos Valerie. I like the accidental shots and our flowers are gorgeous. I hope you are feeling a bit better by the day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. Those accidental shots were fun. Must try that again but properly! Have a great day!
DeleteYou picked 3 good words. And you demonstrated them well. I would never have thought to put a ballerina on a ball. Great page Valerie. Your flowers are still looking nice also. Happy end of your week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. It was hard to just pick 3 words! Have a great day!
DeleteBeautiful colourful art for the challenges and love the flowers Valerie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, much appreciated!
DeleteBeautiful flowers Valerie, I love all of your photos for movement-and I really like your art page with the ballerina. Hoping the rest of your week goes well hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, I wish I could move like that! Stay safe!
DeleteHappy post and love the flowers. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Lovely art and photos today, good to see you getting back into the swing of things! Have a good day, take care, I'll ring you this evening! Hugs, sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, thanks a lot! I'm swinging slowly, but hopefully, surely! Hugs to you all, talk later!
DeleteWhat an amazing journal page. I love how you demonstrated it using the beautiful ballerina, too. This was great, but when you placed her on the flower, that made it even more special and just perfect for Sheila's theme.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are still lovely. I especially like the tulips. I don't mind when they droop over the vase, but some people do. They suggest you put a pipe cleaner inside the stem to keep them upright. I never did, so don't know if it works or not.
Thanks E! I love watching flowers at all stages, droopy, drying out, whatever. I don't try any tricks, either. Have a great day, take care!
DeleteGreat piece of artwork. Love the picture of the tulips and twigs where the outside bare trees become part of the arrangement. Glad you are settling back home now. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. I had to contort myself to get that angle in the photo, but it was worth it!
DeleteI do like your choice of pictures for Rain. The guy on the bike is definitely in motion - nice work. And your flowers are lovely, and so colourful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, have a great day!
DeleteThe Creative Therapy class at the clinic sounds really good and inspiring with their ideas. Your dancer perfectly illustrates the words. Thanks very much for altering it to add to our Single Flower collection at AJJ.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs too - I like the boy on the bike and the bee about to go onto the flower.
Thanks Sheila! The creative therapy was always my fave!
DeleteGood morning Your Esteemed Valeryness: A beautiful ballerina balancing on a ball seems perfect to me. The silence will be broken, of course, when she falls off the ball, hits the floor with a crash and shrieks in pain, but that's for later. In the meantime your art and the various pictures capture the theme remarkably well. I have to tell you that on Tuesday after I really started working on spring cleanup in the backyard, we were able to have lunch on the patio. The temperature climbed all the way up to nineteen degrees and it was just delightful to be out there enjoying our first nibble en plein air. And yesterday a new bird, an Eastern Towhee, visited our yard for the first time, so that was exciting. There is no prediction at all of a return to much colder weather, so I think spring has really arrived. Enjoy it while you may and as much as you are able. Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteHi David! If I tried to stand on a ball a big crash would definitely follow! Glad you had lunch on the patio. I would like to sit on my balcony, but it needs clearing up and cleaning before I can use it, and I don't have the energy yet. Soon! I just looked up the eastern towhee, it's pretty. The sun is shining here, so that's something! Have a great day, hugs to you both!
DeleteLuv your motion and movement responses, oh what gorgeous flowers. Thanks for dropping by my blog today Valerie
ReplyDeleteMuch💜love

DeleteThe ballerina looks perfect. I can tell that you really love to express yourself through art and photography. Love all of your vases.
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda. I have a lot of beautiful glass vases, and love them all! Have a great weekend!
DeleteI’m trying to make my way down to the bottom where the comment box is and I got stuck at David’s comment where the beautifully balanced ballerina is going to fall off that ball and crash. It struck me funny to read that. This was a nicely met challenge. I love the flower you digitally replaced the ball with. It won’t roll out of control and she won’t fall off. Ha! The flower gives the ballerina such a delicate look.
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie. David's comments are always hilarious and cheer me up a lot! I must try standing on a flower one day and seeing if it will hold me! Have a great weekend, hugs!
DeleteDidn't those accidental shots turn out well :)
ReplyDeleteA very nice page, I like the design and the colours you've used.
Great idea to add the single flower.
Sending my good wishes as once more the weekend is almost here.
All the best Jan
They did indeed, thanks! Have a good and restful weekend!
Deletewhat a great interpretation of your word choices- it's beautiful!! Fantastic photos- the flowers, and the abstracted ones (even if they weren't done on purpose;)I also love to keep rearranging my fresh flowers until the last bloom goes. Happy PPF and stay well my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. It's fascinating to watch flowers change and develop. Happy PPF and have a good and safe weekend!
DeleteLove the ballerina. And the digital with the added flower. Such lovely flowers and photos! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean, happy PPF and BIG congrats on winning the voucher!
DeleteBalance is very important and we often don't have it. Love your dancer, she looks like she is dancing on top of the world. Elle xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Elle, I'm trying to achieve balance!
DeleteAll of the different angles of your dancer are perfect and I love the one with her dancing on the flower. You clearly have found balance in your life as it shows in your art. Your photography is supreme and LOL at the pictures your camera took on it's own. I am sure I have a few of those around. It is always a joy to visit you, Valerie ... Hoping all is well with you and have you been vaccinated yet? I have had my two shots and the time allotted for being safe is past. Still wearing a mask, but much less stress in my life. I hope I have or can achieve that balance that you have found in your life ...
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From the Sol
Thanks Andrea. No vaccinations for me yet, our politicians are Just producing chaos! Stay safe!
DeleteI like the dancer on the flower, well why not?
ReplyDeleteExactly, it's always great to try new things!
DeleteSo good to know that you are home and back on your balcony. I love your circles and the ballerina that you made whilst in the clinic but the addition of the flower really does look good. It is the most fantastic colour that just gives it that "pop".
ReplyDeleteStay well
Hugs,Neet xx
Thanks Neet, I love changing things with digital additions! Hugs!
DeleteSuch a beautiful page! The ballerina stencil is gorgeous 😀. Such fabulous photos too, the accidental ones are amazing and that moon and clouds is stunning. I love spring flowers and you've arranged yours so beautifully, so pretty! Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
