New challenge at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at More Mixed Media. As always, our challenges are anything mixed media goes, this time with green as our optional colour challenge. I used a patterned brayer for the background and acrylic paints over gesso:

I am also linking to Paint Party Friday

And here I have some beautiful tulip images to put us all into a spring mood:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  16. Your page is gorgeous. I love the background and all those flower photos. Tulips are such cheerful, hopeful blossoms. I used to have them in my yard until my dog started eating them and got sick. Then we dug them all up and gave them away. We love our dog a bit more than we loved our flowers.

  17. Good morning Valerie the Magnificent: This is a wonderful, vibrant splash of colour to start my day. We have a sunny morning here, and the snow is melting daily, but the edges look grey and scruffy, and as soon as the snow has all gone, I will get out and clean up, and remove accumulated debris, and get all in readiness for the tulips to bloom here. Sadly that won't be for a while so your pictures will have to do for the time being. But, with any luck, before March bids us goodbye, croci will be blooming, and other plants too, and Mourning Cloaks, our earliest butterflies, will be winging their way around the neighbourhood. I suspect that in Europe you perhaps already are seeing butterflies. The weekend is coming up, your final weekend at the clinic. Eat well! Hugs and kisses, David

    1. Thanks David! It's cold here, but sunny and the buds and spring flowers are growing and blooming. I'm sure it will be a lot of work getting everything cleaned up after the long winter, but it's worth it to have everything ready for the blooming season. We are already seeing bees, butterflies and other insects and birds are building their nests. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend, and then to coming home next week! Have a great weekend! Hugs to you both!

We've had some snow flurries today, so seeing those beautiful photos of the tulips has me dreaming of spring.
