Hi Everybody!
Today I woke up to a foggy morning. I wondered why it was so quiet, and then realised I couldn't hear any planes from the nearby airport. When I looked out of the window I realised why - fog. It has got much colder here, and that often results in fog and mist. But I love to see it.:
Today I am sharing a new tag for Michele's 'winter scenes' challenge at
Tag Tuesday, made with elements from me and Serif. You still have a week to join us and it would be wonderful to see some more people joining in:
Today is also time for Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit. Yesterday I drank my coffee at Cafe Burghof, next to the castle ruins:
There are strange decorations everywhere:
And a wonderful view of the Rhine:
The yard outside is also full of old and rusty cars, I have shared pics of them before:
I liked these painted doors leading to a yard behind a row of houses, I think I will enjoy having a coffee there in summer:
Cappuccino with heart:
And at the bakery:
Christmas tableware has been reduced:
But still rather too expensive for me:
We had mild temperatures last week, up to 15°C, and so I enjoyed my walks:
And I bought myself a bunch of daffodils for 99 cents to bring spring into my home:
And the fog hasn't moved away yet, but at least it's now light:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love your tag, lovely details. You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anesha!
DeleteGorgeous tag, love your gorgeous photos, which always take me on the journey with you...hope those fingers are getting better too...hugs.xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks. Fingers are getting better, it takes time.
DeleteI do love those foggy photos - there's always something surreal about them.
ReplyDeleteLovely cups of coffee on your header!
Your tag is sweet Valerie, I like the theme xx
A pleasant (and quirky) cafe with such a lovely view of the Rhine.
Lovely walks and how nice to have a bunch of those bright and happy daffodils.
All the very best ~💙✨~
Thanks! Yellow flowers always remind me of sunshine.
DeleteIt's amazing to see those snowdrops. Here we have only the snow and will not be seeing flowers for a couple of months yet. Your coffee, as always, looks delicious. And I have to say, for 99 cents, who could resist daffodils for the house?
ReplyDeleteThe snowdrops are early, even for here, so were a wonderful surprise.
DeleteYour tag is beautiful Valerie I adore the scene and images, especially the robin xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous photographs too xx
Sending Best Wishes
Annie xx
Thanks so much Annie!
DeleteHi Val, another lovely post! You are brave going out into the icy fog to take photos, brrrrrrrrr! But they are very atmospheric! Love the beautiful tag, little S likes it too, she's saying 'wannit, wannit'. You have another fan! The other photos are gorgeous, too, and the daffs were a bargain, lucky you! I remember Burghof very well, especially the decorations in the toilets, it was a scream! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. Yes, the Burghoff loos are more than some people bargain for!
DeleteSo many beautiful pictures to look at today. The fog looks so eerie. The tag is very cute and I love the sentiment. In warmer weather it looks like sitting outside the cafe to watch the Rhine would be a lovely spot. The hearts on your cappuccino made me smile, too. Best of all was seeing the pretty snowdrops and pots of tulips. Your daffs look so pretty in your blue vase. Spring can’t be too far off.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Summer afternoons in the garden of Burghof are a treat!
DeleteOops, Happy T Day! 😊
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag, I love fog if I am not needing to drive in it-the fog is lovely here on the lake. Wow you have spring there already-that's amazing. we are frigid weather mode still only 7 degrees f here this morning. enjoyed seeing your coffees this morning.
ReplyDeleteI love your blue vase for the daffodils-Happy T Day Hugs Kathy

DeleteThose foggy photos are eerie Valerie! Beautiful tag and photos. Love the snowdrops and daffodils. I am enjoying my morning coffee right now!
ReplyDeleteCoffee sounds good!
DeleteBeautiful daffodils in your gorgeous blue vase! The Rhine is quite an intimate river - wish I could do a cruse in the Spring or early summer. But I wanted to experience the Christmas markets - so we had rain and lots of it. Somebody goofed - I was supposed to be beautiful and rich!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I enjoyed your pictures!
Sandy xx
I'm sure a summer cruise would be pleasanter!
DeleteThe fog is always so atmospheric, especially with those lights coming through. And I really like the new tag. The little mouse is so adorable. You've shown us this coffee house I remember, and it is still unique. Those chickens in the car did make me smile, but it took me a minute to decide if they were indeed real. Happy early T day. I hope it is a fantastic new week Valerie. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to say that the chickens in the Rolls are not real!
DeleteThe fog sure is pretty. Nice to wake up to a quiet morning too. Peaceful! Love the artwork and the photos of having coffee. Such pretty views and things to look at. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day!
~Jess
Beautiful fog photos. I love the trees in your art. Their shapes are wonderful. What a sweet little cookie to go with your coffee. Nice touch :) Those windows look out on the perfect view. It looks like spring is coming there. Bringing daffodils home sounds like a good idea :) Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Those cookies taste good!
DeleteYour tag is beautiful Valerie, I love those icy colours. That fog is so atmospheric isn't it, it puts you into a bubble of your own little world. All these lovely Spring flowers are coming through, I bet Mother Nature slaps them back down in February though lol. Have a great week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. You could be right that we get a cold spell in February, that has often happened!

DeleteLoved everything but especially enjoyed the tag, which warmed my heart, and the light shining through the fog photo.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Light shining in the dark or through dog is always symbolic.
DeleteThanks Laurie, the castle ruins are very special.
ReplyDeletewow I feel spring here:)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and art Valerie! The cafe looks like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
Thanks, it's always fun there, and always something new to discover.
DeleteI enjoyed your walk, coffee and tag photos. How nice to have a bright pop of colour from the daffodils.
ReplyDeleteWe had that cold fog yesterday and decided against a walk by the river! I love those photos with the Spring flowers in! Cafe Burghof looks to be an interesting place for coffee! I really will get around to tag making.....soon! Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI walked along the river, and was nice but very chilly!
DeleteWhat a lovely tag you created. It was fun to see it, too. LOVE the photos of the Cafe Burghof. I remember that place with the old cars, the quirky decorations inside and out, and of course, your cappuccino.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the fog. For me, fog is hard to capture. Those Christmas tea and coffee sets were beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing your wonderful tag, your adorable photos of fog and shopping, and your trip to Cafe Burghof and others with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend. And thanks for your kind words, too.
I love the fog, too, it is always so fascinating!
DeleteForgot to mention the lovely new blog banner and the beautiful flowers you put in that incredible cobalt blue vase.
ReplyDeleteAwesome collection of photos!
ReplyDeleteOh this is kinda gloomy and a little eery but so beautiful! There's something so earthy about the mist in the early morning. I LOVE your tag - so wonderful and vibrant! The colors are just gorgeous. Those are some interesting models (decoration?) that are up in the store - great advertising! Put one some clothes and a hat and easy! LOL!
DeleteValerie your photos are gorgeous, I do miss spring flowers, especially the snowdrops, they never grow here, I planted loads when we first came here but they never appeared!
ReplyDeleteA lovely tag, lovely colours and beautiful coffee cups, I love the heart, some of the cafes here do that too.
Jan x Happy T Day
beautiful tag art! Your cappuccinos always look so good and make a wonderful looking banner too:) There's something about fog that truly is lovely-unless you have to drive in it. Oh, and you have snowdrops already? Nothing here yet... but I'm watching. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Driving in fog is pure horror!
DeleteI'm not really a lover of fog. It makes me feel claustrophobic, and of course the humidity makes me feel even colder. But it makes for lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteYour tag is gorgeous too. The quote is very true.
We're on a detox so no coffee for us at this time. So I loved just looking at your cappuccinos. They look so delicious....
Wow! Snowdrops already! I love seeing those. They come a close second in my top favorite 'wild' flowers, after the bluebells in the woods and parks.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Whoa! I just noticed that mannikin with her/its legs hanging over the side.
ReplyDeleteLots of fascinating shots in this blog.
Hugs
The photos of the mist and fog are fabulous and I'm loving your wintry scene! I love the images that you used especially the pretty robin 😀. Your drinks look lovely and I enjoyed looking around the shops. The snowdrops are beautiful too! Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeletehave a good day not misty :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful project Valerie! You have used that calendar perfectly!! Loving your gorgeous tag too. Wow what a blog full of eye candy today! Love your photographs. That cafe is something else!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful page and thought, Valerie. Simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCafe Burghof is always fascinating. Eye candy everywhere.
Are the flowers snowdrops? I should know, but I'm not sure. Plus you might call them something else. I'm fascinated by all the dew drops you captured in the first photo of them. Awesome!
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
I always love mist photos. Your tag is lovely. I like the cappuccinos, and your new blog header showing them too. That cafe does have odd decorations. I like that vintage car outside. Those snowdrop flowers growing are one of the first signs of Spring! The daffodils you bought for yourself are nice. I realized my daffodils are just beginning to poke out of the ground. They're snow covered now, but they are hardy, and just keep growing, despite the snow and bitter cold. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely mysterious misty fog - nice that it makes your world more peaceful too with no aeroplane noise! - and the snowdrops and tree branch silhouettes are all so beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteYour winter scene is really delightful - such a sweet little girl and birds and mouse - and the delicate snowflakes are gorgeous.

Love the fog! And that beautiful tag today. Very pretty. And of course all the photos are fun. Aren't those painted doors great?
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary significant post, where you make the fundamental center, truly satisfies me for its vital of significance. After all it is an incredible article with all the fixings. Much obliged ahead of time for posting it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag with lots to see. We have had the fog as well, but it's lovely to see the snowdrops showing their white flowers, having struggled through the soggy soil.
ReplyDeleteHugs Wendy
Love your Tag Valerie.
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops..they are my favourite flowers..absolutely love them..xx
