T sTands for Tag Tuesday and more....

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week got off to a good start! I had a strange weekend with very painful fingers again, but still managed to get in some good although misty walks and drink lots of good coffee! My  fingers on the right hand are very sore again. I went to the doc's today, and she has given me lots of candies - cortisone, antibiotics and Ibuprofen. There are a lot of very painful dark spots on my fingers, which are necrosis, and we have to try to get rid of them. So I will be eating my candies, in spite of the side effects, and just hope for the best again!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and our lovely Wendy is hosting.  Her theme is black, white and red. Thanks to Michele for hosting the last challenge and all who entered such beautiful tags. I have made a digital tag using images from Serif, Mischief Circus and me. The challenge goes live at 9 pm this evening:

Today is also Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link up, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit.

On Saturday I was out and about with Nathalie, and we visited an artisan cafe in the Media Hafen district. The Barista was a showman, juggled coffee beans back and forth, measuring them and weighing them and did everything  to make it look very intricate and complicated:

I had a cappuccino, which looked and tasted delicious:

Nathalie had a filter coffee which the Barista had magicked. I found it  too weak for my taste, but N enjoyed it:

You can choose the coffee sort you want, I had Desert Rose, and it was good:

And this was taken in Cafe Bazaar the day before:

We saw this sign in front of a kiosk:

And I just loved this rusty old hydrant near a building site:

We walked along past the Gehry Buildings and the Post Office Tower was shrouded in mist:

I enjoyed my misty walks along the Rhine:

The bedraggled buzzard was on the look out for breakfast:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. That tag is beautiful and would make a gorgeous Valentine. It must have been fun at the cafe having your coffee magicked. Another crop of wonderful pictures. I really like the black bird on your banner. The mist makes things so eerie. Your buzzard looks more like a hawk. Buzzards here, are pretty darn ugly. Take your candies and I hope your fingers feel better soon.

    1. Thanks CJ! I think your buzzards might be bigger and uglier than ours! Mist really makes for wonderful pics!

  3. Hi Val! Sorry to hear about your fingers, look after yourself and take the tablets even though I know you don't like them! Hope things are soon better. Love the tag, it's gorgeous, and you have really done some magic there. The foggy pics are fabulous, everything looks so eerily transformed. Have a good week! Hugs, Sarah

    1. Thanks! It's interesting to see how the birds vary from continent to continent. Your robins and blackbirds and jays are all different, too.

    2. Yes! Robins are completely different! It is interesting to see the differences :)

  7. Sending you good wishes for recovery with your fingers. Yes, the side effects are part of the game but if the meds help... go for it. As always, I love your art and photos.

  8. What an absolutely stunning tag, Valerie. I totally adore it. I am a sucker for vintage, anyway, so this is gorgeous.

Your misty photos are appealing. I can't ever seem to get good photos in fog. Yours are stunning. I agree with my American friends. Your buzzard is so much like our hawk. I agree with you that our robins are so different from yours. And I'd never heard of a tit until I started reading European blogs. Amazing.

I want to wrap an old bed sheet around that rusty fire hydrant and see what transpires. You find the BEST rust, dear.

You had a lovely magicked cup of cappuccino. It does look more interesting than N's coffee. I wish I could have seen the lamp shade in the photo of the lamp base and your cappuccino.

Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous tag, your misty photos, and your cappuccinos with us, magicked, or not, for T this almost Tuesday.

  9. You are really having a hard time, Valerie, and my heart goes out to you. If only there was something I could do. You are obviously a person with a good deal of inner strength to deal with this issue the way you do. The misty shots are quite lovely, there is a definite ambiance to them. Stay strong, keep walking and keep drinking good coffee. Too bad you have to take the candies but there seems to be little alternative.

  15. Necrosis is pretty scary. I get it sometimes with Raynaud's. I pray the new "candies" do the job, Valerie.

Beautiful black, white and red tag. It's very striking.

I might learn to enjoy coffee if ours were such works of art like yours ;-)

    Beautiful misty photos.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

Sorry you are to be taking a selection of candies again for your fingers, I hope all will go well and the combination works for you this time.

  17. Sorry to hear about your hands and fingers Valerie. That necrosis sounds scary. But I love the latest tag and the newest theme. Black, white and red together make such romantic and dramatics combination. And good thing there is warm coffee on your walks, but I must say the foggy photos are also quite dramatic and beautiful. Have a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika

  22. How beautiful your tag woman looks in dramatic red, white and black. I have to confess, this is one theme, you probably won't see me for - way out of my comfort zone! I'm so sorry to hear about your fingers - I hope the candies will do the trick. I'm glad it didn't stop you from getting out and about to enjoy the mysterious misty weather. As always, I enjoyed going with you via the fabulous photographs.

  23. I'm sorry to hear your fingers are badd again. How awful. And of course the misty weather doesn't do arthritis any favours. The necrosis sounds nasty. I do hope the candies will give you relief as wel as a remission AND reverse the necrosis.
The tag is gorgeous. What a great combination of colours!
You cappuccinos look so inviting (Yes, I would prefer cappuccino over filter coffee any day). We are on a 21 day detox and my although I'm not a great coffee drinker, I am partial to a nice cup of cappuccino and this one looks so inviting.
Your misty photos are truly beautiful. Well done you.
    Happy T-Day,

I hope you get your fingers squared away. I'm sure it's not only painful but makes trying to do anything awkward.

  27. Hi Valerie, I’m so sorry to hear you are having problems , I hope your pills do the trick and cure the problem
Lovely photos as usual, love the foggy ones too, we had thick fog a few weeks back which is unusual and it was awful.
I do love how they put the leaves etc on the top of the milk, I heard of cocktails being made with great flourishes but never coffee.
    Happy T Day, jan x

  28. Oh no, sorry to hear your fingers are worsening. But be good and do as the doctor tells you!! Your tag is absolutely stunning. The red is so vibrant and what a great image. Loving your misty photos today. We woke up to a sprinkling of snow which luckily has melted away in the rain. But boy it is cold!

  32. Misty mornings, rusty fire hydrants and arty coffee shop shots... I can almost smell that coffee. Sad to read about those fingers. I'm hoping you are being a good patient and taking those meds, we need those precious fingers well asap.
Love the colour theme and your tag is fantastic is she Elizabeth Bennett??

I'm sorry you are having pain in your fingers, I hope they improve soon, but it's great you can do digital art to keep your creativity going. I'm loving the misty photos - so atmospheric and magical.
