Hi Everybody!
Hope you had a good weekend. We had mixed weather again, hot and humid but also some clouds and grumbles of thunder. Today seems to be similar. I was out most of the time walking, and had fun.
On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday and this time our talented Sandie is hosting, and her theme is wings, so hope to see people joining in. I chose to show the lovely Frida Kahlo again and her quote, 'Feet, why do I need you, when I have wings to fly?'
Tuesday is also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the ladies of the T Gang. I drank several cups of my fave beverage while out and about:
On Saturday and Sunday I was out and about with my friend Nelya, having a girl-power weekend, and we enjoyed ice at 2 different places, but the first one somehow got eaten before the camera got to work. And I did do the requisite 19000 steps each time and a few more. Nelya chose bitter choc and lemon-basil for hers, I stuck to bitter choc:
Here we are having fun down by the lake in the woods:
And some miscellaneous photos from walks this past week. A lot were taken in the evening, a good time to walk, especially when the days are so hot:
Sign seen in a shop window - if you don't like bad language, look away quickly....
It was fun seeing the moon and the setting sun at the same time:
On this walk it was raining on one side of the road and dry on mine:
These 2 were taken by Harry:
Back to the Rhine:
That's all for today!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Beautiful photos. loveee the cows.lol lol
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is a gorgeous post Val, you've outdone yourself again. Love the tag with Frida, and the photos are first class. Those cows are super, I wonder where you discovered them? Love all the evening sun photos, and the moon by day, so beautiful. Great photos of you and Nelya, glad you had some fun, you needed it after last week. And I'm afraid I can't answer the question about F & F!!! Have a good week, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI found the cows at a street cafe in Düsseldorf
DeleteBeautiful tag, the dessert looks delicious as does the cappucino. Enjoyed your photos today, the rain falling on the other side looks neat.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love your Frida tag and the fabulous birds that you've given her. Those coffees and ic-creams look delicious, but definitely not for here as we've had nothing but rain for the last two weeks, so I envy you your warm weather. Have a very happy week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteHope you soon get better weather. It's too hot to move here.

ReplyDeleteSomehow I thought I have another week on the drink tags. I was in the process of finishing one when I read the new theme was wings. The Frida Kahlo tag is stunning and I've always loved that quote by her. Sorry I missed the drinks, because that is one of my favorite themes.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have such wonderful places to stop and enjoy your coffee and cappuccinos. The place that has the rolling pins hanging from a light fixture really caught my eye. I think I would stop there just for the ambiance and the art. Thanks for taking us to all those coffee places for T this Tuesday.
Your photos are wonderful. I loved the cows, the moon, and the rain in the distance. Such beauty that comes from your camera, dear Valerie.
A beautiful tag with Frida!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the cows and their crazy colors. And that rolling pin light fixture in the cafe is very unique.
Happy Tea Day,

Valerie, you had me at that gorgeous latte! :) And then chocolate - cows and gorgeous art and photography! LOVE! Super tag with Frida - love your use of color and delightful art ... you have such an incredible talent. TFS!
ReplyDeleteI love the red color splotches that occasionally show in your photos. They add an other-worldly feel.
ReplyDeleteYour piece is purrfect.
Both ice creams sound yummy.
When the storms left you they came to us:) Thunder rumbled all night, which meant the dog needed TLC.
Have a great one.
Hugs
I have a filter which prevents the splodges, but I like them, too, so I don't bother with it.
DeleteLove your photos, you always capture something interesting ☺
ReplyDeleteEin wunderschönes Tag und aufregend schöne Fotos - wie immer.
ReplyDeleteI think you did have a fun weekend. It looks like the weather was gorgeous and you had lots of laughs. And yummy ice cream! Hope it is a great T day so far. Hugs-Erika

Wow! Amazing photos once again. The cows esp the first one are to awesome. I also loved the statue of the kids peering into the water from the rock. Made me very sentimental for my kids being little. Of course then I snapped out of it. :) LOL

My daughter loved that fountain as a kid, I think of her every time I see it.
DeleteLove your piece and the quote to go with it.

ReplyDeleteYou have your coffee at the loveliest places, Valerie. Your step counts are inspiring. No need to count calories when you count that many steps! Great picture of you and Nelya. I love the painted cow. It reminds me of a similar one we saw in Texas. Maybe I'll share the post again for 2nd on the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - especially the God spots and other sun shots.
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
I don't count calories, walking makes me hungry, but I do concentrate on eating healthy food, and lots of it!
