Hi Everybody!
Hope your week is going well. We have had strange weather here - hot and humid one day, cold the next, and in between heavy storms with local tornadoes and torrential rain. At least it's not boring. I have been walking a lot as usual, with an umbrella tucked into my bag for good measure.
Today I have a tag to share for Tag Tuesday, where our current theme is beverages. I have once again chosen my fave drink, coffee, but others will be following soon. I made a hybrid tag using a mix of elements from Serif and me as well as photos of coffee beans and a cup of coffee served at the Cafe Burghof next to the castle ruins here:
It would be great to see some people joining in the challenge! I am also sharing another of my Modigliani knock-offs, made with acrylics , water colours, pastels and charcoal on A3 paper:
I am linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin
Some photos from this past week:
I love the evening sun at the Rhine:
Family outing:
Ducks in a row:
Hay making time:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I am in awe of your tag honoring my favorite drink. I must take time to prepare a tag, too, especially since coffee is my drink of choice. I absolutely adore your Modigliani knock off. It would certainly make Modigliani proud.
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHH! More roses. I love the photos you shared today with the hay bales, Harry, the sunset, the ducks in the water, and of course, those gorgeous roses that seem to be growing profusely this year.
Thanks. The roses are wonderful this summer, much more so than usual, every bush is hanging with the weight of the blooms.
DeleteHi Val, good evening! Glad I caught your post before I fall into bed, I'm knackered. Wonderful tag, coffee of course, and love the Modigliani. Gorgeous photos, love the roses and Rhine sunsets especially. Have a good night! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteTeż uwielbiam kawę i róże:) Piękne kartki i fantastyczne fotografie . Pozdrawiam:)
ReplyDeleteThose roses are so beautiful! And a lovely walk -- such beautiful skies you have!
ReplyDeleteLove your tag and I do like those roses, what a beautiful colour they are.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday :)
All the best Jan
Beautiful tag, Valerie, and a gorgeous page! I love sunsets and roses too!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very busy period for me now, but definitely I will try to join you on Tag Tuesday. Hugs, my dear friend.
Beautiful artwork and photos. The Rhine looks lovely. (I was surprised the hay was far enough along to harvest already.)
ReplyDeleteThe first hay harvest is more or less finished.
DeleteBeautiful tag and painting. I really enjoy your walk along the Rhine, those roses are beautiful, I hope they are full of beautiful rose perfume! Nice to see the ducks.
ReplyDeleteI like your tag. And the Mogdiliani piece. I think his style suits your style quite nicely. And the sun does like nice on the Rhine. Something about sunlight and water is usually a nice thing to photograph, isn't it? Happy almost Friday as I write this but probably Friday when you read this. Hope it is a good one. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL...LOVE THIS POST. Your glorious flowers bring out the sunshine here [I wish!]...Your tag is super gorgeous....xx
ReplyDeleteYour tag just captures the peace and calm of sitting outside with a favorite beverage. The shape of the portrait reminds me of the roses and a perfect segue into your photos. Just beautiful. I love the light spirits (the pinkish dots) that showed up in some of the photos. The ducks in a row made me smile. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThe tag looks fabulous, and I can just imagine sitting at a table in the sun drinking....tea for me. The sun has gone for a few days here, but we can dream.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos looked great and the shimmer of the sun on the water looked beautiful.
Have a good weekend Valerie.
Yvonne xx
