Hi Everybody!
On the fifth of each month we start a new challenge at
More Mixed Media. As always, our challenges are anything goes with an optional colour scheme, which is yellow for this month. The BG of my A3 piece was gessoed and then brayered with yellow using a stencil to give some texture.
I filled my head with some figures from Crowabout Studios (Mischief Circus), as I just love these positive affirmations. I doodled more dots and stenciled a couple of birds. You have 4 weeks to link your creations to us, so hope to see you there!
Some more photos from the beautiful forest at Grafenberg:
I loved this long-jump sandpit - I think I might have got as far as a mouse if I had tried!
A carved seat:
I wonder what lives in that little shelter?
The red deer were curious to see what their visitors had brought with them:
Carrots seem to speak a universal language:
Love that this split tree was still standing:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Awesome forest photos-looks like a magical place
ReplyDeleteI and love your art page excellent theme
Enjoy your day Kathy
I love your "positive thinking" piece of artwork. It looks like one of your birds may be a swallow... I'm so glad you like the way the book cover turned out. I think it's stunning, but it'd be hard to mess up with that photo of yours as a foundation. Again, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat forest looks like a wonderful place to take a walk, and that carved bench is almost too beautiful to sit on.
Take care. :)
We have fog now and heavy rains for later on. Your bright yellow page is very uplifting. Love the positive sentiments as the weather (more snow for the end of the week) is bringing me down. The forest is so enchanting. There's a long jump sandpit at a local zoo. When my girlies were little they loved to see which animal they jumped like. I'd love that carved bench for my Zensical Garden. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are having such cold weather. Here it's slowly feeling more like spring
DeleteWhat a wonderful piece. So many great messages in it.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. The pictures look like you were walking through a fairy land.
Have a day full of sunshine and sparkle.
Love your sunny and positive piece today, hope it entices the sun to come out and stay. Wonderful photos as always, Grafenberg is really a magical place. Hope you are feeling less groggy today. Have a nice evening, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWonderful affirmations in your head, dear Valerie. The thoughts fit you perfectly and are so YOU, too. It's a beautiful page.
ReplyDeleteI might have gotten as far as the mouse, too. Maybe just past it, if I put my entire weight behind it (grin). I love that carrots are a universal language. Such a fun trip to the Grafenberg forest. I thought that bench was simply stunning! Thanks for taking us with you.
Beautiful mellow-yellow page with excellent positive sayings! I love the little people and cat.
ReplyDeleteThings are looking good in your forest! And your yellow page makes me very happy indeed!
ReplyDeletePositive thinking is really where I need to be right now, your display of beautiful people upon your yellow page really creates an inspiring vision Valerie and as YELLOW is the most visible colour to the human eye it really packs a big HUG!!
