Back to the middle ages, part one

Hi Everybody!

Last Sunday my buddy G took me on a trip to see Burg (castle) Linn, a beautiful building from the middle ages in the middle of a landscaped park. We had wonderful spring weather, the flowers were blooming, and the scent of the blooms was intoxicating. I took a lot of photos, so here is the first installment:

The castle would be a fitting setting for a fairy tale film:

We also enjoyed watching the bountiful wildlife there:

I'll be back with part 2 on Friday!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  6. Wow, it's like the middle of summer where you are, unbelievable!! It's still very grey and dull here, and there are still snowbanks that haven't melted. Sure is a far cry from the green world you're in. Gorgeous photos. hugs :)

  8. What an amazing castle. I was taken by the various turrets and the grandeur of the castle. But I also was so impressed by how green and beautiful everything was. Spring has been good for your part of the world. I was so impressed with all the gorgeous photos you took. They are fabulous, including the wildlife.

  9. What a fabulous, glorious day! Oh, your weather is divine and the blooms so pretty. The castle looks lovely too. But what I adored (no surprise here!) was your heron and swan photos. Fabulous detail -- I love it when you can see their eyes so clearly. And that one with the swan floating by is just fabulous! I would have been in awe. I AM in awe.

  10. Very pretty. Your photographs are so striking. The pink blossoms against the brilliant blue sky. The blue heron reminded me of a lifeguard as he watched as the swan swam by. Had to smile.

  14. What gorgeous photos of the scenery. Our spring is just beginning to shows signs of awakening. The biggest sign is the farm equipment on our roads as plowing and planting begins in earnest. hugs & smiles, Teresa
