Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, enjoy!
Today I am sharing an A3 mixed media collage made recently. I used one of the lovely napkins sent to me by Yvonne, so thanks again! The background was brayered with a mix of blue and green left over from other projects, and textured with a scroll stamp while still wet. After adding the napkin with acrylic medium I used 2 stencils from Seth Apter and CWS to add the rectangles and dots to match those on the napkin. I added more dots with alcohol markers, and added some stamped kitties just because I love these stamps. I added some yellow lines and 2 studs (from Sabine, thanks again!) I found the quote on the net.
I am linking to stamps and stencils, off to collage
I saw this beautiful flower shop in the Altstadt from Düsseldorf last week:
The musicians' fountain is in the square outside the cafe we visited on Wednesday:
The building in the background is Wilhelm Marx Haus, the first 'skyscraper' in Düsseldorf and one of the first in Germany. It was built in the 1920s
Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

What a hoot of a quote! All the cats I have ever had have always made their own rules! LOVE the look around Altstadt- one of our newspaper supplements had an article all about Altstadt, Dusseldorf and described it as a beating heart and a party district but then went on to describe the art academy and the salon des amateurs and on to Nordpark! I think we will have to visit on one of our train trips! Hugs,Chrisx
ReplyDeleteDuesseldorf has lots of places worth visiting, but I like our little place here better
DeleteHa-ha- that is a fun kitty page today. You have to love cats for being so independent. The same reason to love dogs because they are so dependent. Those fountains are quite arsy. I love them. I think most of the fountains around here are very Victorian so it's nice to see that they still put up fountains. Hope it was a great Saturday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletenot only is the cats piece lovely to look at, full of delightful elements, the quote is the BEST!! love your photos! xo
