It is only with the heart....

Hi Everybody!

Recently I bought this canvas  shaped like a heart (approx 12" x 12")  and decorated it. The background was given a coat of gesso and then brayered with a mix of powder blue and pink, using a dot stencil to add some texture. I used various textile flowers combined with some dried roses and seed pods etc. I used Frantage vintage gold EP to emboss the edges. The quote is from Antoine de Saint- Exupery.  I am linking to Rhedd's creative spirit, Paperbabe challenge, dots and  Eclectic Ellapu, anything goes.

We have been having some cold and windy weather, but the sky is blue and the sun is shining:

And I had fun looking in the shop windows:

In spite of the cold the buds are getting bigger:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  18. That's a gorgeous heart Valerie. I like the touch of pink powder and the flowers. That's a wall hanger for sure. And nice to see blue sky and no snow. It seems to be sunny on days I am at work and cloudy when I am not. Hopefully your weather will come across the ocean pretty soon. Happy Valentine's Day. Hugs-Erika

  20. What a beautiful interpretation of the quote from Der Kleine Prinz. Love your brilliant, blue sky. the seagulls waiting for the ferry just crack me up. Lovely shop windows. So much to look at. We don't have any place around here that decorate the store windows.

  21. That canvas has stolen my heart. As someone who loves flower arranging, this is excellent. I am truly in LOVE with it and everything about it.

I enjoyed peeking in the windows with you. Those VW buses were so cute, but I was most impressed with all the Easter bunny inspired pieces I saw. Seems the rabbits multiplied and landed in the stores of your city (grin).

    1. The round building is the old mill. The top got blown off in 1870 in a storm. It's now a very upscale dwelling.
