Hi Everybody!
Time is flying, as always, and tomorrow, Tuesday, we will be starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, hosted by our lovely and talented Michele. The theme she has chosen is 'Use a quote'. As always, you have 2 weeks to link to us and tags of all formats are very welcome. I am looking forward to visiting your blogs and seeing what you create. I made a hybrid tag using a photo taken many years back of the sun and clouds over the Sea of Galilee:
At TIOT you still have a week to link your creations for our
'love is in the air' theme:
Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice girls of the T Gang.
Last week I went with my buddies G and N to a Chinese restaurant near here. It is a huge place, and although it was almost empty when we went in, it soon filled up with people enjoying the midday buffet - all you can eat for 8.90€. And they had a 15% discount running, so we paid even less. The food was varied and good, and we enjoyed filling our plates at the buffet and eating it! You can see more pics, also of the lovely buffet, here
My drink was diet coke, I needed to save a few calories.... G had normal Coke and N a green tea, served in a pretty pot:
Looking out from my seat by the window:
Lots of delicious calories:
My wonderful dessert plate:
And of course, there were fortune cookies:
We will definitely go there again!
This morning I enjoyed watching a sliver of the waning moon in the dark sky:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Your tag is lovely and the page is stunning. I love the way the birds come together to form her hair. Nice restaurant. I'd give it a try (-: We always seem to do take out for Chinese food. I always enjoy your pictures. The moon pictures are stunning. Have a Happy T Day. Hope the weather has warmed up for you

Dimi...
All the photos are great, but that last one really pulls me in.
ReplyDeleteYour pieces are amazing. Love them both, especially the texture of the first one.
Hope your day is filled with fun and sparkle, my friend.
Hugs,
Love the tag and the journal page is beautiful ! The restaurant looks and sounds great and it's always nice when good food comes at a good price. Hard to find these days. Love all of your photos. We have had nothing but super gray skies lately with snow and ice. Makes for tricky walking. Today the sun is finally shining ♥ and a warm up is in the forecast so the ice should leave then!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day
Carol
great
ReplyDeleteFabulous artwork Valerie, you are really good at the hybrid stuff - I can barely copy and paste lol. That restaurant looks really nice - sepecially the deserts! Have a fun week, Sue xx

Gorgeous photos! WOW! Big Hugs!
Beautiful photo of the moon! It looks like a wonderful place to eat. We like Chinese buffets on occasion. But this one really looks nice! I, however, don't know about that fortune! :)
ReplyDeleteThe main thing is that the food was good!
Deletewunderschön und so fantasievoll deine zwei Arbeiten.
ReplyDeleteDein Besuch beim Chinesen war bestimmt lecker und die Sprüche wo daraus kommen sind immer lustig und so Hintergründig.
Tolle Fotos vom Mond!
Ich wünsche dir einen schönen Dienstag!
Lieben Gruss Elke
Love your moody blue tag Valerie and that fabulous quote. Your meal out with friends looked most enjoyable, interesting fortune inside that cookie :))
ReplyDeleteWarmest of wishes & Happy Tuesday, I hope there will be pancakes!!
Tracey xx
Beautiful art and I also loved the photos. I especially love the treatment of flowers flying...because love is in the air!! And the photo of the crescent moon.
ReplyDeleteYour tag and page are beautiful! I love both quotes and the pretty pink blossoms and your lady is such a beauty with her wonderful raven hair - perfect 😁. Chinese is one of my favourites and the restaurant and food looks amazing - yum! I loved seeing your photos too, especially your silver waning moon. Wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊
Happy T Day!
Rike
I haven't had Chinese food for a long time and it looks yummy! I think you had a fun day out although not sure your fortune is all that happy of a fortune. I guess it is more words of wisdom. Loving your latest tag too. Very clever how you layered everything and have the sun peeking out. And nice Valentine's day piece too. Have a happy T day Valerie. Hope you are doing something fun! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe sayings in the cookies were all strange!
DeleteSounds you had a wonderful and yummy dishes in a wonderful place. Place looks so beautiful with yummy foods:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful hybrid tag! Love how you carried the moody sky into the heart at the bottom, so amazing! Gorgeous Love is in the Air piece, wow with the hair of birds! Love your night sky photos! The buffet place looks yummy, we will go to the Mandarin next weekend for the Chinese New Year celebration, YUM! hugs :)
ReplyDeletelove the artwork and Chinese meal photos
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie! What a beautiful tag and work of art!! And your photos from the Chinese restaurant are awesome. I thought the first fortune was a bit strange!! And I absolutely love your gorgeous photos of the moon!! They are captivating!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThose foodie pictures are making me hungry. I'm going to go grab a cookie now:)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
The page with the bird hair girl is stunning, Valerie. That's a uniquely beautiful image. Love your tag too. You're a real wiz with digital effects.
ReplyDeleteMy mouth waters when I see a Chinese restaurant like that. All we have is a P.F. Chang's, which is pricey and, while the food is good, it's not my idea of typical Chinese food.
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Wow Valerie! I love your tag and that girl with the birds in her hair is wonderful! Your buffet place looks really good! We like to go to a World Buffet with our grandchildren - not just Chinese but Indian, Tex Mex, Italian and Japanese on the buffet! Your moon photos are fabulous! Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI apologize. I would have been by sooner, but I ate something at dinner last night that didn't set well and I got very ill.
ReplyDeleteYour art today is superb. I was especially impressed with the beautiful woman's hair and how you treated it. That was simply stunning.
I always love a good Chinese buffet. They are so good and you have a lot more choices than when you have to order off the menu. And you got a bargain, too. The restaurant looked lovely, and it appeared from the photo there were lots of choices, too. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous tag, your journal page, and your Chinese buffet and diet Coke with us for T this Tuesday. Again, I am so sorry I am late visiting. Still trying to keep it together.
your quote tag takes my breath away! as does your creation for TIOT -- so very lovely! xo
ReplyDeleteYour tag is beautiful. I love that photo of the clouds over Lake Galilea. And the hybrid piece is stunning. The bird hair is very original. I canh't read the quote very well. I assume is was glitter.
ReplyDeleteThe Chinese restaurant looks very nice. I am a bit weary of buffets as I don't know how seriously they follow the food safety regulations. etc How do I know if children haven't put their hands in it bla bla bla. But as a rule I really love Chinese food. And I can imagine for that price you will go again.
Love the photos of the moon.
Happy Valentine's Day
and a belated happy T-Day,
Lisca
Valerie, that tag is exquisite! I just love that you used your actual photo- all the more wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHow long ago did you travel to the Sea of Galilee? I'd like to see more photos some time.
The second piece had me giggling again with the "bird's nest" in her hair! When I was young, with long hair, my Mom would brush out the tangles always exclaiming..."this is like a bird's nest!"
hugs,Jackie xx
A beautiful tag, even more special as you used your own photo and I love the piece for TioT with the beautiful lady and her amazing hair. Your lunch at the Chinese restaurant looks delicious and sounds excellent value.
ReplyDeleteAvril xx
Beautiful Valentine's art, the food looks delicious, and wonderful photos of the moon Valerie!
ReplyDeleteBelated happy T-Day! xx
What a gorgeous tag and your Love is in the Air piece is stunning. Beautiful photos too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art, very expressive! Wonderful photos, such a treat to see your adventures. The moon looks magical indeed! And the heart, one of my fave quotes of all time..beautiful!
