Hi Everybody!
It was still very hot here again, but from tomorrow it should get
a bit cooler.
For Tag Tuesday, our new theme of animals,
I have made a mixed media tag. The background was gessoed,
painted and textured with a stamp-roller. The birds and
hedgehog were collaged with a paper napkin.
The hedgehog was sent with other wonderful
napkins by our lovely Yvonne, so thanks again! I sewed it onto
2 other layers and added a scrap of ribbon
as embellishment. I also added some glass seed beads
to the flowers and berries.
And don't forget, you have until next Monday evening
to join in the 'feathered friends' challenge
at TIOT.
I have been looking for shady paths to walk along these past days.
It's mostly pleasant down by the Rhine, and I love to watch
the ships cruising by. The 2 little canoes were faster
than the huge boat:
There is some work going on where the moat used to be,
I wonder what they are doing?
I found some shadow in the porch of the basilica:
The birds who live in this little house even have an address, perhaps
for making sure their tweets arrive?
Have a great day, take care
and thank a lot for coming by!
Lovely textured spring tag today, and wonderful summer photos!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful tag Valerie and stunning photographs of some beautiful shady and places. I used to do a bit of canoeing
ReplyDeleteBut my canoe was made of wood and some sort of leather mixture. I had difficulty keeping up with a snail. It certainly brought back old memories for me seeing the light moulded ones
Thank you for sharing
Love Chrissie x
Lovely tag, Valerie and oh, I'm longing to be on the water again! I love the photo of the boaters!
ReplyDeleteYour tag is wonderful, I am always amazed that you manage to come up with new ideas every day. Love the texture and the gorgeous images. Great photos, too, glad you found some shady places to walk. I need to get the room ready for my sister, she will be arriving tomorrow. Have a nice evening, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is a tag! And it's a beauty, too. I really enjoyed it, especially with all the layers of paint and then the napkin. That's an adorable hedgehog.
ReplyDeleteThe photos were incredible today. I know the Rhine is busy, but I've never seen so many ships in a single photo before. And I absolutely LOVE that you took a photo, possibly unintentionally, of a restroom sign with a woman and child. I've never seen one like it before. Must be a European thing.
It's not a restroom sign, it's a sign for a footpath - and men are also allowed to use it! Glad you like the tag!
DeleteValerie, your tag is so gorgeous and I love the texture of it...wow!!!
ReplyDeleteI am always so amazed by your stunning photos...another WOW!!!
Great Big Hugs ❣💞💕

ReplyDeleteoh what a wonderful eye you have for capturing so many things about town! Love your tag, and I must get something in - at least one- as animals is such a near and dear subject to me:)
ReplyDeleteLove the tag Valerie. Adding those seed beads were a smart addition as they make great berries. And if the heat is bad, please send some my way. It is so cold here. I don't think it is ever going to warm up. :) Happy mid-week. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteAlles Liebe
Sabine
