Some digital play

Hi Everybody!

Today I have had a fun, digital playtime, so no
extra mess to clear up in the kitchen - it's so full just
now that I must tidy up before starting something new!
For Tag Tuesday, our theme of anything goes,
I made a bird tag. These are the little birds that wake
me day for day at 4 AM when I would like to sleep!
I am also linking to Digitally made challenges.
It also fits our new theme at TIOT, feathered friends.
The digital elements are from Mischief Circus, Serif and me.

For Art Journal Journey I have another completely digital piece,
using digis from Mischief Circus, Gill and me

These are the photos taken on top of the gasometer in
Oberhausen:

And some more photos taken inside:

The gorgeous owl was opposite the table we sat at
to drink a much needed cup of cappuccino:

The sunrise has been wonderful each day, I don't miss
a thing as the birds wake me....

I was very sad to see the news about the terrible attack on a
concert for kids and young people yesterday evening
in Manchester. My heart goes out to all those affected
by this tragedy.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Beautiful pieces, I love everything you make, they all have your own, unique style. The tag reminds me of the view from your balcony, and the journal page is fantastic. Love the muted colour. Great photo, as always, I hope we can visit the Gasometer next month. Have a nice evening, hugs, Sarah

  8. I love your digital tag with that sunlit background! Your journal page too has that wonderful dappled light! I can see the influence from your photos! The views from the gasometer are wonderful!
It has been dreadful day here in Manchester! Relatives wondering if we are OK…the answer is yes, we are but so sad that this dreadful event targeted so many families. The only thing that has kept us going is seeing stories of such kindness from members of the public, taxi drivers, hotels etc and the wonderful work of the emergency services! Hugs, Chrisx

  10. A most impressive digital tag. I like the ray of sunshine and the birds with their feathers. They remind me of the birds I saw in my garden today. They were really chattering and dancing around. Yours are more colorful, since mine were robins.

Your AJJ entry is lovely. It certainly shows elegance and beauty.

The view from the top of the Gasometer is incredible. I almost got vertigo when I saw that first photo. You were really high up. And your camera takes great shots of far off vistas. Really, really incredible shots.

  15. OK, lots to say. First of all-great new blog header Valerie. You have lilies blooming already? And both of your art pieces are just gorgeous. I love the little (what we would call) chickadees. Not sure what they are called in Europe. And I didn't know you could go outside on the top of the Gasometer. What great view it gave you. I never realized how flat it was there- but it makes sense seeing where it is located. And more fabulous wildlife photos. Wow! Hope you are enjoying your day. Hugs-Erika

  19. Lovely new bog header Valerie - the flowers are gorgeous.
Awful news about what happened in Manchester and especially the age group targeted - such sad times we live in :(
Love the bird tag (of course) - we often have those birds visit our feeders. Your AJJ piece is wonderful with the grungy textures and the sweet image of the little girl.
Great photos of the gasometer etc but not sure about going up so high - I almost got vertigo too just looking down at the views :)
Hope you've had a good day.... Gill xx
