Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!
Today I have another mixed media tag for Tag Tuesday, Wilma's
lovely theme of heritage. I used paper recycled from older
projects, combined with the black card from old
calendars. The stamps used are all from
Chocolate Baroque, and are, of course, from Paris.
I sewed it all together.
This mixed media journal page was made with a scrap of
a paper napkin on a gessoed and stamped background,
The text on the right was computer generated.
I am linking to Art Journal Journey, Hazel's
magical mystery tour - my tours always lead me
through the beauties of nature
This camel looked so haughty! He didn't even glance
at the visitors, but let the birds pick wool out of
his coat:
I suppose the birds use the wool for nest building:
This was one of several tree stumps just left to crumble
and decay, always a good home for insects:
These 2 beauties were busy eating;
The leopard was hiding behind the stone, the tail
was all I could get:
The tiger in the next enclosure was busy eating fresh
meat:
Just chilling:
Another of the beautiful, African statues:
Owls:
I still have lots of photos, but will save them for another day.
Have a great day, happy birthday to 🎉Elizabeth🎈,
take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
Beautiful tag. I love sewing on artwork. I like the journal page too. And such good photos of the animals. I hope you have a good weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag, and I love the very pretty journal page with your wise quotes. Do you remember the coach trip to Paris with my mum?! Great photos, I think I need to visit the zoo again soon. Happy birthday to your Elizabeth, and you have a lovely day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteFantastic tag with the great architecture. Always love to see your neat sewing on projects.
ReplyDeleteThe page is gorgeous and the simple ideas mean that the message stands out loud and clear.
Amazing photographs of the animals again and the tree stumps will be full of little creatures as well. All the animals look well cared for and have beautiful coats.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip with us
Have a great weekend
Love Chrissie xx
Love the mustard and black panels on your tag - very cool - and the springtime page is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip to the animal park. I guess it helps the camel to have his old fur removed, and that will certainly be a very comfortable nest by the time the birds have finished. The African style carving is stunning.
Hope you have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteThe zoo photos again look great, not sure I would like to get close to that tiger eating its meat and I'm sure the birds will have a cosy nest for their new chicks using the camels fur.

The owls were really magical!
DeleteI love the art work today.Using that napkin in the center of your journal spread really makes an amazing effect. I never thought of that. And I love the animal photos. I actually saw a camel somewhere the other day-in someone's fenced in yard, and my husband is here saying there was no way I did. Now I am just trying to remember where it was. :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI have never seen people keeping a camel in their yard, that would be fun!
