Hi everybody. I'm pleased to say I feel more normal today, the side-effects of *witches' brew* have worn off! The time is flying by, Halloween is over, November is here, and that means it's time for new calendar pages. This time I made some rather untypical ones for November. I have painted a row of houses with blue sky - perhaps I am hoping the month might be like this, instead of the usual cold, wet and windy month. The verse I have written round the roofs of the houses is from a song by *Guns 'N Roses*. The clouds have been cut out of an old book, painted with diluted gesso and lightly inked with dark blue. The *windows* have been cut from some Daisy D's paper. I think it looks like a row of toy houses, which wasn't intended, but it just turned out this way. I am linking to *The Kathryn Wheel* and to *Art every Day*
And I finished the journal pages that I started at the weekend, once again in patchwork. The photo shows one of the old ladies I cared for at the Old People's Home, many years back when she was just married, I think it is a lovely photo.
So, enough for today. I am going to visit my friend Inge for breakfast today, and then have a look round the Euro shop....
Have a good day you all, take care, and thanks for visiting!
love, LoVe, LOVE your November calendar! The houses are so imaginative and absolutely gorgeous! The colours help with the 'pretend' look. Nice collage pages in your journal as well. Glad you are feeling back to 'normal', Valerie. Have a great creative day. hugs, Donna

Using the windows as journal spots is a fun idea. I will have to store that in my memory. Have fun filling it up and here's to pleasant November days.

Great journal pages and your November calendar is fantastic. LOVE the idea of the windows in the houses being the places for each day, so imaginative!
ReplyDeleteLove your calendar pages! The houses are beautiful! I've been wanting the Sizzix dies for houses, for quite some time now, and just keep putting it off, I guess.. One reason, because I want OTHER things MORE instead; and then, secondly, I think my head (subconscious?) just won't allow! I KNOW that I can simply draw, paint, or cut out my OWN houses, very simply and easily! I HAVE the ability, and I HAVE the time! (0; Anyways, glad to hear you're recovering! You gotta watch yourself with that Witch's Brew, I know!! ~tina
