Hi Everybody!
It's Friday, how nice, I'm looking forward to the weekend as this has been a busy week with lots of appointments! Today I have an A3 face painting which was painted on a piece of recycled paper which was wrapped round some sheets of coloured card that I bought at the stationer's here in town. He rolls the card and secures it with scrap paper, which I then painted on. I used the colours which were on my palette, just her 'lipstick' was new. Sometimes it's fun to paint something quick and grungy. I am linking to Elizabeth's recycling challenge at AJJ:
She's a quick painting? She came out amazing Valerie. I like how you colored her skin too with those blue tones. I'm not a great face painter so I can appreciate your quick skill. And your paper is perfect for Elizabeth's challenge. I hope you have a relaxing Friday and weekend ahead. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. This was indeed a quick painting, I will try another blue face with more time! Happy Friday! Hugs!
DeleteShe is beautiful! The thinkies are so funny!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, hugs!
DeleteHi Val, good morning. Love your blue face, she has a peaceful expression. I've got a busy day today, I need to get started! Hope you are feeling less tired. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Friday with the family! Hugs!
Deletehello, love your blue face too, hope you are feeling better
ReplyDeleteThanks, nice to see you again!
DeleteIt is amazing to me, Valerie, that you can just decide to do it and come up with a face like this. She is beautiful, sensual, a tad mysterious, and guaranteed to imprint on one's memory. She will dance in my head all day. The judicious use of blue adds allure and stands as a testament to your artistic sensibilities, not bestowed on mere mortals like us. I am going to call her Zelda. She looks like a Zelda, don't you think? I can just imagine taking her to a cocktail party or to a reception, and everyone would be talking about her. "How about that David having a Zelda?" they would say. I'd be the talk of the town and all thanks to her. She may even banish you from my mind, Valerie, you and Heike too. You may have just estranged yourself from my hitherto undying affection, i will send you hugs and kisses today, but they may be my last! David
ReplyDeleteI have a friend called Zelda, but she is not blue . Glad you like my girl, but pleeeease don't drop Heike and me for such a person! It is fun painting with a limited colour selection. I was in our little town this morning and a group of people were demanding that people wake up and start protecting our world before it's too late, but most people don't seem very interested....same old story! Have a fabulous Friday! Hugs, Valerie xxxxxx
DeleteYour face is amazing. I agree with Erika. It doesn't look quick to me, but I am not one who can draw a face. I adore how you created this with recycled materials, too. Thanks for sharing it with us at AJJ using Bleubeard's and my theme.
ReplyDeleteLove the funnies. That's me baking banana bread (NOT)!! Have a relaxing weekend, dear.
I'm always going to make banana bread and somehow I never manage it! Glad you like the face

ReplyDeleteGreat use of the wrapping paper for your page, with the lovely lady. Love the funnies. Hugs Wendy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy, have a great day!
DeleteYour lady in blue is delightful. What a lovely idea to recycle the paper used to wrap your purchases and produce a portrait like this one. You are inspiring me to try my hand at portrait painting again. Just never seem to have the time, there is so much I want to do.
ReplyDeleteHad a real smile re the egg for breakfast, that is so me, i can eat chocolate at any time and I have had a longing for a Cadbury Creme Egg for over a week now. maybe I should hunt one down.
Hugs, Neet xx
I wish we could get them here. But on the other hand, perhaps it's better as it is!
