T sTands for Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all well. Sorry that I have been MIA for a couple of days, I had my last Covid vaccination on Friday and felt really bad afterwards. I never had a reaction before so it took me by surprise and I needed my bed, but I'm happy to say I feel better now.
This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies who come by. I just have coffee - and cake - pics for you today, I hope I can soon be out and about a bit more and take new photos:

I bought all of these lovely mugs at the thrift shop for 1€ each:

And some pics to make you smile:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  5. You found some super mugs at that thrift shop. It must be fun to have your coffee from them, and pick a mug for your mood. And that dessert frig and window were making me hungry. Even though I've already eaten. The best news is that you are feeling better. Funny how after already getting some shots, another one can make someone feel bad. I've been sick with all my covid shots, not for long though. But my shingles shot was the worst. Take care, and I hope you are home soon. hugs-Erika

  7. I felt the serum going into my arm, then nothing. It was like it never happened. I feel for you and your booster that was a nightmare.

Boy am I hungry after seeing those amazing cakes. Of course, the cappuccinos look good, too. Your thrift store mugs are beautiful. I don't think I could pick a favorite.

Loved the cat telling the dog who was boss! And that baby kitten looks a bit like Squiggles. Thanks for sharing your drinks, drinks, drinks, cakes, drinks, new mugs, and funnies with us for T this Tuesday, dear Valerie. I hope you are soon on the mend and well.

    1. I had no idea that I would get a reaction like that. Today I got out and walked down to the Rhine, that was good!

  8. Good morning, Valerie: Sorry to hear of the bad reaction to the most recent COVID shot. I have had all five with no after effects at all, but Miriam had a really crappy day after a couple of them. I am sure it is my reward for living a virtuous and enlightened life! I sit here drinking my morning coffee, black as usual, while I gaze on the various exotic coffees and pastries. That seems hardly fair, especially for one who is virtuous and enlightened. Actually, I met a good friend for coffee yesterday and had a cappuccino and it was delicious. It was also wonderful to see her again, dynamite person that she is, and she gives the best hugs. I hope that you will soon feel fit enough to go out for a walk again and greet the birds along the Rhine. I am sure they miss you. Hugs and kisses - David

    1. Hi David. Virtuous and enlightened!? Ha! Strange how it goes with getting a bad reaction, I think i have never had one before. And i don't want one again! Today I went doen to the Rhine, saw some gulls, ducks and lots of noisy crows. The park here isy full of crows, too, I love watching them! Glad you were allowed out for a coffee with a friend, cappuccino is aways good. We have a wonderful machine here, makes lots of diffferent coffee sorts, so I like going for a walk to the kitchen! Have a great day, hugs xxxx

  9. Your photos of pastry are so mouth-watering. I haven’t had anything like that in ages. (But lots of other things!) Great that you are now getting out, despite the bad day with the vaccine. I hope it really makes you more immune to covid.

  10. Oh my life I have total mug envy, those crazy animals are amazing! I'm so sorry to hear about your reaction to your Covid jab. I hope that doesn't happen in future as I can see these becoming a yearly 'treat'. It's good to know that you are able to be out and about again - I'm sure you enjoyed that very much. Take care and take it easy, Sue xx

  20. Good that you got your COVID boosters, even though you had a bad reaction. I felt sick after every one of my five shots, the second one was the worst. I'm glad that by now you are feeling better and can walk down to the Rhein. Oh those cakes - I do miss German Konditoreien and bakeries. Nice sit-down cafes with real china or ceramic mugs and plates. No drive-thru - just slow and peaceful. I love the kitty telling the big dog who's boss! Happy T day to you, Valerie.

  29. What cool mugs you found at the thrift store, Valerie. The "Keep in Touch" one is so much fun! Lots of fun funnies/thinkies. My sister Donnie hated peas. She was always trying to slip them off her plate to our dog.
