Hi Everybody!
After 3 loooong days I'm back on line, and hope that the system doesn't crash
again! Today we are starting a new year of challenges at Art Journal Journey, and this time our lovely Mia is hosting and her theme is 'Use a photo' . For my background I used an ice skating picture from a German women's magazine from the beginning of the 20th century. I added the photo of Erika on the left, as she seems to blend very well with the other figures on the ice:
The challenge runs for the whole month, so I hope to see lots of you joining in, and looks forward to seeing your creations!
Have a great Sunday, and a wonderful new year filled with harmony, health , love and kindness.
Take care, and thanks for coming by!
I was delighted to read you shared this image from a magazine. It and Erika go so well together and it is quite inspirational for me. I also love your beautiful thinkies and Bleubeard and Squiggles appreciate the awesome cat funny you included. Bleubeard is sure it is for him! This is a great first entry at AJJ using Mia's theme. SO glad you are back online. I can truly relate!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, glad you liked it. Happy New Year to all of you!

DeleteErika does fit perfectly in this picture, Valerie. She has become quite an Internet star, recognizably in an instant to your regular readers. I am assuming that you are by now safely ensconced in the clinic and that the doctors are working feverishly on getting you better. I know that you will be eating well based on previous shots of all the food available there. Be sure to keep us posted as to your progress. Happy New Year. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThanks David. Erika always loved being photographed, and would have been very proud to star in my blog. The food is always good and plentiful here, and I am enjoying it! Big hugs to you and Miriam xxxxx
DeleteThis is such a pretty vintage image. Usually it's true in my area for New Years, but not this year. It feels like spring. It's a great image for Mia's challenge and for January 1. I hope your internet stays on you, and you've settled in nicely for a SHORT stay. Thank you for the card too. I loved it very much. Happy happy New Year Valerie. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. We had deep minus degrees 2 weeks back and now it's 15°, unbelievable! I wish you all the best for 2023! Hugs!
