Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Just a short post today, I am still reeling from what happened in Uvalde and the big meeting of the gun lobby. Sometimes it's almost too much to take in!

Today I have another spotty-dotty piece with a rather colourful lady who looks sad. Not my fave piece, but here it is, an A3 piece painted with acrylics:

The photos were taken from my balcony over the past couple of weeks, I never got round to uploading them to my computer. Okay, I just forgot them!

Pigeons on the tree top:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. Spotty-dotty seems like a perfectly adequate description of the politicians drooling and fawning at the NRA convention, salivating at the vast sums of blood money they can get for their campaigns, and endorsing more guns. Of course they come up with great solutions like one door only schools, with an armed guard at the door, or arming the teachers. What's next, providing the kids with guns? It is beyond ridiculous. There is no other country in the world where children go to school under these conditions. Between news of the vast loss of ice from Greenland and the massacre in Uvalde, this has not been a good week. Hugs and kisses, Valerie. David

    1. Yes, at the moment the events are incomprehensible, there are no politicians prepared to counter the evils in the world. Why on earth do normal people need weapons of mass destruction to defend themself? How can some politicians carry on taking money when kids are being shot dead. They have no consciences, and already more money than they can ever spend. No, it's not been a good week. BIG hugs to you and Miriam.

  5. This spotty dotty weekend lady is another amazing face Valerie. I am into these spots. I'm with you about Uvalde, and all the others. It is such a shame, and I don't want to go on about the politicians in this country of mine. You have some beautiful sky photos too. It's a rainy Saturday morning here, and I slept in, so I'm keeping this short to catch up myself. Have a great weekend. Hugs-Erika

  9. Oh I love your spotty lady! The gun laws really are unbelievable aren't they, but people feel they have a 'right' to carry a gun! I just don't get it. Take care and have a crafty weekend, Sue x

  10. It's ever a shock to be hit with yet more proof that our children just don't matter, or at least not nearly as much as fulfilling gun fetish desires :(

Your balcony view is lovely :)

  15. Lovely spotty lady and your photos are great too, such gentle colours in the clouds. Seems the gun lobby are more important than the youth of the country in the US, very sad.

  16. Sorry I am really late calling in, I am having real trouble with [ I think ] blogger. It is so annoying to type a piece then it goes walk about and needs to be done again , add to that I cannot get a photo to load, or the print colour to stay black on my blog. I could rabbit on for ages adding more issues
Anyway I have enjoyed reading your posts , seeing the photos and of course the inspirational art.
I hope you are having a good weekend.
    Yvonne xx
