Midweek Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week has been going well. I've been trying to take things easy as I have repeated attacks of Atrial fibrillation which makes me nervous.  I'm hoping it will settle down soon! I've still been going for my walks, just more slowly and less far than usual, but thats okay. Our weather has been good  with pleasant temoeratures, not too warm and not too cold, so just as I like it!

Today I have a new tag for Pinkie's challenge at Tag Tuesday, her theme is to use stencils. The challenge runs for 2 weeks, and tags of all formats are welcome. Hope to ssee YOU there! The face was drawn, the diamond background was stenciled. I made one like this years back but gave it away, I will keep this one:

And here I just had fun reversing the colour:

Some photos from my walks through the woods, meadows and park:

I love this copper beech:

And some funnies/thinkies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks for the for coming by.

  11. I'm sad to hear you are still having fib incidents. It must be scary and frustrating too. I'm glad you are getting out for some walks though. Better shorter and less strenuous than not being able to go. And that's a fun tag. I love how the ribbons are like her hair and also how you made her choker necklace. Nicely done. Take care please. hugs-Erika

  13. What a fun and lovely tag. You sure created a lovely woman. I like the reverse color, too.

Are the lovely lavender flowers wisteria or lilacs or ??? They are definitely my favorite photos today.

Sorry to read your atrial fibrillation is still a problem. I sure hope the meds kick in soon.

I knew about the broken glassware being repaired in gold. I also know when a piece of fabric or garment wears a hole in it, they repair it with a new cloth placed over or under the hole, then they do a type of slow stitching to repair the garment. They have a name for it, but I don't remember it offhand. Hope your Wednesday is wonderful, dear.

  14. Some are wisteria, they have the hanging flowers, and the lilacs have the flower heads mostly upwards or sidewards. I think that's a wonderful way to repair things, and shows how they value things. Have agreat day, hugs, Valerie

    1. The slow sewing is called sashiko. The decorative stitches cover holes and bare spots in fabric and garments. I knew I would think of the word eventually.

  16. Hello Valerie: When you read your last romance novel and it spoke of women walking with their heart aflutter this is not what was intended, so stop it right away! I bet you wish it were so easy. Better that you walk short distances and slowly than not at all, however. Speaking of walks, I have one planned for this morning at 8:30 with a group of retired business women, ten in all, and I plan to dazzle them with the great depth of my ornithological expertise. I was going to let my good looks do the trick, but figured I'd better have a backup plan! The way that migrants are pouring in by the day we have the chance to see some interesting and, for them, unusual species. Nothing will rival the oddities and rarities of Balconia-by-the-Rhine, of course, but we will make do with what we have. Continue to take good care of yourself. All of Canada is rooting for you. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. Thanks David, good to know that Canada is on my side, that's something. I saw some of your noble geese this morning in Hofgarten, along with swans, ducks and other feathered creations, always a great place to have a rest. Now I'm hoping these women are not going to turn your head again, and I'm sure you can dazzle them with your avian knowledge. The pigeons are busy mating here, they lke to use the tree at the end of the yard, so we always have a great view! But of course, nothing so wonderful as the Balconia-by-the-Rhine noble and rare species! Have a great day, BIG hugs!

  33. A wonderful Tag Valerie.
The photos are awesome, such vibrant colours, just stunning.
Re A.F. I feel the same as you whenever I go out, especially if I am on my own. Although I am on medication, I often feel the same as I did when it was diagnosed. It's been 6 months now, so I think I will have to go back to my doctor.
    Take it easy..xx
