T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

The weekend has once again disappeared in a flash and it's time for a new week - let's hope it will be a good one!

Today I have a hybrid piece made for Matilde's birds challenge at AJJ. The beautiful bird and nest was a freebie from  the Graphics fairy, the other pieces from my stash:

Michele's challenge at Tag Tuesday is to use bows and or buttons. My first tag is made for her challenge and for Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, which begins this evening.  Here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang. The background of the tag was cut from the packing of a delicious bar of chocolate I was given. The button at the top is a coffee cup, and at the bottom yet another one, stamped , fussy cut and covered with bronze glitter:

The second one has a pink bow:

Somehow I was out and about a lot this week, so there are lots of drinks. The first is an alcohol-free white beer:

And of course, lots of cappuccino:

And we had a wonderful meal one evening, Heike had salad with grilled chicken, and I had a baked potato with herb cream cheese and salad:

Love these flowers growing out of the caste wall:

Some thinkies / funnies:

And some photos taken in our little town:

Have a great week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  8. We are in our final half hour at our B&B on Grand Manan, Valerie, so just enough time to tell you that the bird with the nest is absolutely splendid. All of your art pieces are, of course. That beer looks like a great drink on a hot summer's day, but coffee still reigns supreme overall I would imagine. Your baked potato and salad look great too. Remember when a baked potato came only with butter? Now a thousand different things are served with it and herb cream cheese seems about as good as it gets to me. Miriam is a big fan of sour cream on hers, with chives sprinkled on. We quite often have baked potato at home, usually half a potato each. Last night for my final dinner on the island I had fish and chips. The fish is caught daily so it is wonderfully fresh and the fries were really well done. Seems like a fitting end to a vacation by the ocean. The next time I leave a comment on your blog, I will be back at home in Waterloo. A tremendous storm passed through the area a few days ago, so I hope we will not be facing any damage. Miriam's sister has been watching the house, so I am sure she would have let us know. Keep well and have a little extra herb cream cheese. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. I hope you enjoyed the last hour of your stay, time goes by so quickly. Baked potatoes with herb cream cheese is one of my fave meals. Fish and chips, too, always yummy and a reminder of growing up in London! We are having a lot of storms here just now, today the air is very sultry and heavy and I'm sure the next storm is on its way. Have a great journey home, take care, BIG hugs, Valerie

  9. Your bird page is gorgeous as are your latest tags. I wish I could get to my buttons and ribbons to make one for this challenge. Well maybe as the week progressed I will clean enough to do that. I must say the pig tag is my favorite. Mr. Pig and Miss Kitty are adorable and it feels like spring. You definitely had a fun week and lots of good food. You deserve it too after the winter you had. And it looks nice. Hopefully the temperatures are quite comfortable too. Have a great new week and T day. I hope this week is as fun as last week was. Hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika! Soon you will have all of your supplies at your finger tps in your new room, that will be fun! Last week was really fun, and at the weekend I went for a meal with friends again. It does me good to go out more. Glad you like Mr Piggy & co! Today it's strange weather, the next storms are on their way, but soon we should be more or less back to normal, whatever that is! Happy T day, have a great week! Hugs, Valerie

  19. That may be a hybrid journal page, but it is beautiful. I love the background, as well as the bird. Really charming. Thanks for sharing this bit of inspiration with us at Art Journal Journey using Matilde's theme.

Love your coffee cup button. Mine had shanks on the back, but other than that, are similar. I like your pig and kitty on the bow tag, too. Really cute.

You gave us a plethora of drinks to share this week. I've never had non-alcoholic beer, much less white beer. Sort of the opposite of stout, the only beer I like.

Some of your funnies were hilarious. I love the couple needing their glasses before the news came on. And I always love your flower boxes. Thanks for sharing your art, your funnies, your incredible drinks, and your tour of your city with us for T this Tuesday, dear Valerie.
