Hi Everybody!
Just a short post today, time has run away from me and at the moment I can't run after it!
Today I have another A3 mixed media piece meant for Elizabeth's 'What's your style' challenge at AJJ and for Paint Party Friday. I gave my girl a touch of Klimt today:
And some thinkies:
David, your ears are okay!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
A lovely girl today and nice thinkies.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine!
DeleteLovely post Valerie, take care hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, hugs back!
DeleteI love those Klimt colored boxes. They are really a beautiful addition to this wonder lady. And the gold outline really shines. She's a beauty. I hope you're getting some rest. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, My knee is getting better and I'm resting as much as I can! Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteLove your lady Valerie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, take care!
DeleteLook like your having fun creating.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thanks Dora, I am indeed!
DeleteI love your Klimt inspired lady. I can see his art in her hair. It also reminded me a bit of Piet Mondria and his grid patterns. Regardless, she is a genuine beauty. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ using Bleubeard's and my theme, dear friend. I LOVE this series.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed the Thinkies, too.
Thanks Elizabeth, take care, have a great day!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you slept well and that your knee is less painful- Here all is well. Hugs from us all, take care, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, take care, hugs to all!
DeleteLovely girl, Valerie. I love her hair, eyes and the gold. Super cool.
ReplyDeleteThe funnies are fab.
Hope you are doing better.
Hugz
Thanks Nancy, sending big hugs your way!
DeleteShe is quite wonderful, Valeria, bright, lovely and filled with optimism it seems, and the Klimt boxes sparkle along with her and create an image of joy. You have excelled with this one, but excelling is a way of life for you, of course. I am very glad that you exempted me from these scurrilous, sexist innuendos about men not listening, otherwise I would have been hurt deep inside, and would probably have retired into my shell for several days, would have been unable to visit your your blog, would have experienced a deep and lingering hurt, might have needed counselling and perhaps have entered a funk from which I might never have returned. Phew! But now I must confess, Miriam has been known on more than one occasion (okay more than a couple of dozen occasions) to remark to people along these lines, "David has no problem remembering exactly which branch of which tree on a trip we took twenty years ago, exactly where he saw a bird, and all the circumstances surrounding it, yet he can't remember what I asked him twenty minutes ago." Well, that's a little harsh, I think. It's at least twenty-five minutes! On that note, I will wish that your knee improves rapidly, and that soon you will be taking can-can lessons. The Offenbach orchestra is tuning up. Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that I gave you a new name. Valeria has a nice ring to it, with the emphasis on the "er". Perhaps I'll keep it!
ReplyDeleteHi David! Well, I'm very glad I exempted you from the comment about men' ears, I wouldn't have liked to send you into a funk for days or weeks. And we are all allowed to forget things at our age. I still know our first telephone number from my infancy, but what happened an hour ago is sometimes in the realm of mystery! My leg is getting a little better each day, but I think we must save the can-can lessons for another time, it's such an immodest dance, what would people think of me? Any by the way, I like Valeria, it sounds somehow better than just plain Valerie. Today we had creative therapy - my fave, of course, and I painted another beautiful lady for you! You will meet her soon! Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie
DeleteThis goddess reminds me of Mondrian. I like the bright colors. Take care.

Thanks Mae, it's getting better slowly!
DeleteThat Mae, have a great Weekend!
DeleteI do like Klimt and I do like your lady with her Klimt touches. Even though he paints his ladies with hands like a bunch of bananas there is something about his art that appeals to me. My memory at the moment is so bad that I cannot remember the name of my favourite one but 'Emilie Floge' seems to come to my mind. She is the lady in blue.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if you are being good and resting. Hope the leg is getting better.
Hmugs, Neet xx
I like those color blocks.
