Last day of November

Hi Everybody!

Another week has flown by, and it's already the last day of November, time flies indeed.  The weather here has been wild, wet and windy these past couple of days, but today is mild with a mix of sun and clouds, and it will probably be wet at the weekend. We need rain so much, so I'm not beefing about it! There are some places here where you can walk across the Rhine. Fortunately not here, but we have developed a lot of wide and sandy beaches!

I made another mixed media journal spread using  scraps of JD tissues, stamping, stenciling and washi-tape on a gessoed background. I am linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin:

And I have a last tag for Tag Tuesday, tic tac toe. I took more photos of it, but they seem to have evaporated. I chose the middle line across, and a bit more:

On Sunday it's Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd, and as I won't be posting then, I have included my piece here. It is an A3 mixed media page made in autumn 2017:

Last but not least, I have some photos from my icy / misty walk early on Wednesday morning:

And in case anyone is wondering - yes, my fingers were deep frozen by the time I got home!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

It's cold outside!

Hi Everybody!

It's a chilly day here today, which started out with frost and mist. I went for an early walk, and will stay home for the rest of the day, get the laundry done, and spend time in my arty kitchen, cooking and crafting.
I have 2 more pages from my journal, once again using pieces of JD tissues, stenciling, and some collaged pieces.  The background was water-coloured. The sentiment was written by hand:

In contrast the cool, grey mist this morning:

Nature is the best artist, that's for sure!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for This and ThaT

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week got off to  good start. On Tuesday's it's time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday party, so here a warm welcome to all ladies taking part. My drink is cappuccino, here seen in my huge Christmas mug:

The moon on Friday was huge and red, a wonderful sight:

At the beginning of November G & I visited the Gruga Park in Essen, and I already showed a lot of the photos. Today I have some from the coffee garden there, where there is also a cafe, unfortunately only open in the summer months! But the garden itself had a lot of information about coffee:

There was also an Osage orange tree there with rather strange fruits, huge and looking a bit like green brains. The notice is to warn people that fruits can fall down and hit you.... We picked up one of the fruits and G put it on the post. You can read more about it here:

We also visited the hot-houses:

There were oranges and lemons growing on one tree here:

A beautiful olive tree:

A reading corner for a welcome break:

And a collection of lovely bonsai trees:

There is a Ronald-MacDonald children's house in the park, built by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. I just have 3 photos from Wikipedia to show, my camera was full. But I have a new and super-large memory card in the meantime, so this won't happen again:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
