Colourful

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well. It's another grey day here, but the sun did show itself for a few minutes this morning, and it's not quite as cold and windy as it was, so that's good!
Today I am sharing an A3 mixed-media collage, made using strips of JD wrapping paper and  washi-tapes collaged onto a painted and stamped background. As you can't see the BG anymore, perhaps I could have done without it! I used stencils to doodle over it, did a modge-podge tissue transfer, and added some stamping and a hand-written sentiment. I am linking to Simon Monday challenge, take flight, and Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, and Simon Wednesday challenge, anything goes:

The photos were taken in the past 2 weeks in Hofgarten, Schloss Kalkum (a moated castle) and here:

Is that duck headless?

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks  lot for coming by!

  15. What a fabulous page Valerie, love how you have used strips to create a different view. It's such a clever way to fill a page, Janes eye's are incredible.
Love how those reds are starting to make an appearance within the tree's seems as if it's natures way of warming us up on a chilly day.

  16. That is a cool piece of art. There's so much to see and those eyes-especially the blue ones. Wow. And you visit such beautiful places. I am sure your views are a bit more advanced autumn like than these photos but we are will be down to bare trees in another week or maybe 2. Hope your weather stays a bit warmer than it was and the sun shines. Hugs-Erika

    1. Some trees are nearly naked, others still have lots of foliage.

  17. I think the painted background adds depth to the page. It brings out the tissue papers and washi tapes, too. It's a fabulous piece and the eyes are so piercing, too.

You shared some beauties for your photos. That moated castle is amazing, and that water is stunning with its reflections and beauty.

  23. Stunning photos as always! And I really like your art piece...it reflects a persons broken-ness in a scattered personality. We all sometimes get fractured like that. The black bird sort've looked like sadness to me.

You got a great shot of the perching hawk(?). I can't tell what that last bird is doing. It looks like he caught a flamingo - lol. Eileen xox
