Hi Everybody!
The weather here has cooled off quite a bit in the past few days, so now we are having temperatures more suitable to autumn. But we still badly need some rain. They told us on the news that the ground here is now so dry that it would need to rain for 8 weeks solid to replace the water that is needed.
For Tag Tuesday, Sandie's challenge of 'Flags and Pennants', you still have a few days to join us. I made a quick tag using a flag printed onto book-paper, some sewing, coordinating matting and a TH image:
The image for this piece was created in my graphic programme, printed onto an A4 page and then centred onto a painted and distressed A3 background. I added the text and the pointing hand, which was fussy-cut.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday
The photos were taken this week on my morning walks through our little town:
This was taken from my balcony, looking down into the garden:
And a moody and magnificent sun that showed itself this morning:
And a few minutes later it went back to bed - wouldn't we all like to do that sometimes?
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Super tag and journaling

Thanks dear Dimi, I am really happy to live here.
DeleteHi Val, good morning to you! Wow, that sunrise really took my breath away, how fantastic you were there to capture it - perhaps still in your PJs and with a cup of coffee at your side?! Love the tag, had to smile, we were both made in England, that's for sure! Great journal page, and I love the quotes, especially the upside down one! Enjoy your day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWell, you are right about the PJs and the coffee, my usual morning routine!
DeleteHello Valerie, oh your tag is wonderful as is your page, so clever of you!
ReplyDeleteThe walk through your pretty village was so very nice too. Those charming buildings - always a delight to see with their trimmings. No wonder you enjoy living there!
The tag is wonderful and the page so much fun. So many things to look at. Beautiful Autumn walk. Even the horse has a leaf on his flank! Really gorgeous colors especially the ivy on the building. I hope you get some much needed rain, but not all at once! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag and page, enjoyed your lovely photos from your walk what a wonderful time of year. Hope you get some rain or maybe there will be lots of snow...oops.

DeleteYour autumn is looking as pretty as ours is. Love the new header and those sun photos are amazing. And what a fun tag! It is a clever way to do bunting/pennant that I hadn't thought of. And your journal page is really full of many clever things. I like how it is different and thought provoking. You must be on an artsy roll. :) Happy start to your weekend. Hugs-Erika

I apologize for visiting so late, but this was the first time I felt good enough to get out of bed. I love your Made in England tag. It is a beauty, and so is your sewing.
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is fabulous, too. I like the monochromatic colors you chose and the fun and funky expression it invoked.
Your photos are fabulous. I especially liked the vignette near the tree in town and the views from your balcony.
A fantastic tag Valerie and great use of the flag.
ReplyDeleteJust love the collage with so many things to look at and take in. The best bit is that you write on the pieces in your own printing and it always looks amazing.
Wonderful photographs of your very beautiful area and the ones of the moon are incredible-the harvest moon has a special place in my heart.
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx

The tag and you digital page are both fabulous! The collage especially had me lingering! I love the walk you took and I so wish that we had Autumn displays in the UK such as the one here! All we seem to get is scary, garish plastic Halloween. Whenever we visit the continent in the Autumn the season is celebrated so well! Hey Ho!!! Hugs, Chrisx
