Hi Everybody!
Hope your week is going well. We're having unusually warm and sunny autumn days here, with chilly nights that bring fresh, crisp air. Great for being out and about. Today I am sharing two journal spreads made in the last weeks. For the first one I used Gelatos, felt pens, stencils and washi tape:
The second spread is a bit too bright, you might need shades....I used scraps of a JD paper napkin, stencils, Gelatos, ink markers, washi tapes and a computer generated sentiment:
And I have another tag for Tag Tuesday, pennants - flags:
I am linking to Paint Party Friday and Tag Tuesday
Last week N visited me and we went for a boat-ride along the river to the Altstadt of Düsseldorf. The journey takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. The weather was good, the people on the boat were all happy and friendly, and they serve a good selection of drinks along the way, all included in the fare price. I had coffee and mineral water, N had white wine, mineral water and coffee. We got off in a very crowded Altstadt and made our way through the crowds to the bridge. We walked over the bridge and went back to N's for some more coffee, and then had frozen Yogurt at Yamaro's, delicious. All in all a wonderful afternoon. My pics are mostly views from the bridge:
The beautiful, old houses of Oberkassel:
The Altstadt:
Can you see the kites in the distance?
The Rhine is still very low, usually the water covers most of the 'beach':

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Hi Jan, great to see you around again! Hope all is well.
DeleteTerrific artwork, as always. The words on the second one are thought-provoking. I'd think the tears caused by sadness would etch the most lines, but perhaps it's the suppression of those feelings that age us even more? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe statues are great... especially the one of the kissing couple. Sweet and very realistic.
have a super weekend! It's finally cooler here today, too. YAY! I don't know if summer is entirely finished with us yet, but we'll sure appreciate the autumnal weather while it lasts!
Wonderful journal pages! So many fun details and great colors! Wonderful photos as well!
ReplyDeleteGreat artworks and inspiring pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bright artwork and pretty tag. The couple kissing look real! The closeup tells you they aren't but from a distance. What a wonderful park!
ReplyDeleteI like bright colours, super tag and photos.
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful and dreamy! You live in the most beautiful city, the statues are amazing,
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful artwork touched my heart... "I am the dream, You are the dreamer." A few days ago I awoke very early. But decided to close my eyes for five more minutes... I dreamed I was hanging some costumes in the trailer. They slipped off the end of the hanger rod. My Beloved was suddenly there. He grinned, caught them and put them back up for me. There was laughter and love in his eyes.
ReplyDeleteThen somehow we were in the utility room. He was pulling dry clothes out of the dryer... I felt so sad, because somehow I knew he was dying. I went to him, gently hugged him close--I felt warm and safe as he put his arms around me. I rested there for a moment, lifted my face to smile at him. And then he kissed me.
It will be four years at the end of this month--There are tears...but they are healing tears...
Thanks for sharing your beautiful dreams!
DeleteNah, it's never too bright ;-) Love the quote too, and the necklace of the first lady. The kissing couple in the park looks so real. Awesome ... Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces. I love the quote on the "bright piece" (I don't think it is too bright at all). :)
ReplyDeleteCool statues. The kissing one looks so real- I did a double take!
Sounds like a lovely day and boat ride. Wonderful! Have a fantastic weekend.
