Hi Everybody!
Hope you are doing well. The weather seems to be playing games again, lots of places have snow, and we have been threatened with very cold weather and snow from Friday on, so it doesn't look like winter wants to let us go yet.
I have a hybrid piece to share today. The background and head are both hand-painted, and then I digitally added some lovely figures from Nancy Baumiller's Crowabout Studios (Mischief Circus):
My orchids are still doing well:
Nothing much changes in our little town:
The buds are getting bigger:
Here a new sewer is being dug:
I always love the shadows caused by the morning sunshine:
Some rusty bits for Elizabeth:
The shops are all full of spring and Easter themed things:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Your post screams spring for sure. Lovely as always...xxx

Another lovely post. Those little people in the head made me laugh - mine keep telling me to leave the housework, put my feet up and do something nice, but mostly I've been resisting their good advice....Lovely photos of KW, our daffs are blooming, too, I just hope the cold won't last too long when it comes back! Have a nice day and good luck at the doc's, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWhat a strong piece of art Valerie, so much positivity, it would make a great framed print. A lovely morning walk amongst nature, I see one new shoot has been nibbled by a hungry caterpillar hee hee!!
ReplyDeleteLove that rabbit cushion cover, I have an owl one very similar..
Thank you for sharing your days with us.
Creative wishes Tracey xx
I love your art today Valerie. It is so positive and full of the power of women (and cats!). Go ladies! And it is nice to see some normal spring views. We have about 18 inches and it is still snowing-though lighter-but still snow. School is starting 2 hours later today. Enjoy the sun! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie your piece is lovely and i am loving your pics ,thankyou for sharing my friend xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous art, photos and post valerie.
ReplyDeleteLoved the imagery and colours on your 'Positive' piece.
And I always enjoy window shopping at your shops.
Sun shining here today so will make the most of that as the lady on our weather machine is holding an umbrella - maybe that means rain coming before the snow.
Have a lovely day... Gill xx
Beautiful hand painted piece today, your photos are lovely, at least the spring buds are here. We have some light snow today unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Valerie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous positive piece you have made!
Lovely figures! Awesome pictures from your walk in the town with the beautiful Easter decorations !
Love your sunrise shots and the orchids!
Wishing you a lovely week ahead!Hugs!
Dimi...
Your hybrid piece is so uplifting with all the positive thoughts. I especially love the little cat. So nice to see green and growing things as another 18 inches of snow on top of 15 inches of snow has us buried. Spring for us will be sometime in July. the shop windows are so pretty and festive. Our store windows are so industrialized and very boring. Love all your blue glassware, too
ReplyDeleteOh, your white cabinet with the blue is SO beautiful (especially with those daffs!) It makes my heart beat a little faster! I adore the bunny pillow and your reflections are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGood morning dear Valerie!
ReplyDeleteYes, winter is hanging on for us here as well-poo! What is that plant called in the second photo under budding? That is remarkable!
I have to tell you your art piece is absolutely wonderful!! I love your faces and the messages on this and you posted on a special day as today is the day students from all over the US walked out of their classes in protest of the recent tragic events here. These young people are brave, and strong and are our future and deserve credit for standing up for what they believe in. To me, this is perfect for these young people!
sending hugs,Jackie
I'm sorry but I don't know what that plant is, I'll try to find out.
Deletebeautiful and so lovely and pretty photos of your town easter and spring
ReplyDeleteA fabulous post, so many wonderful photos, and I absolutely love your page Valerie!

So many beautiful photos today. I like your interesting hybrid piece with all those faces. And the shops with lovely displays. I caught a stack of brightly colored fabric in one of the windows. Something that I would love! And your shelf of blue glass is gorgeous against the white shelf and yellow daffodils.
ReplyDeleteLoved your post today Valerie!

I'm always inspired by positive thoughts and words, which make a day move that much more smoothly. Hugs...RO
