Sunday /Monday / Tuesday post

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing us all a good, new week!

First up I have a page from my journal for autumn:

This face was made partly with stencils:

I hope you like this crazy cat lady:

And this is for Pinky's 'Spooky vibes' challenge at Tag Tuesday:

And an autumn piece - also spooky - for Alison's autumn colours at AJJ

And the autumn colours outside my window:

A photo collage taken in Düsseldorf:

By the Rhine last Sunday -it's extremely full:

I love this cat:

I am linking to Tag Tuesday, Art Journal Journey and  perhaps - if I manage it - to Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday TsfT

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. Oh your autumn journal looks great Valerie. I love the variety of art. Spooky, autumn, a fun kitty and that interesting face. You've been having fun which is good. My husband was just talking about Bruce Springsteen and how performing is his love and you have to give people more at a concert than they came with. I can say the same thing about all your journal pages. And photos too. :) Great post. Happy new week. hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika, painting keeps me sane just now, I need to think of fun things and not always dwell on the not so nice parts of getting old! Thanks for your lovely comments. If I need to take m mind of things I grab one of my journals which still has space and play. Have a great new week, I look forward to seeing more photos of your visits to lovely places! Hugs!

  7. What a wonderful and refreshing collection of fall projects and funnies. Great journaling pages, faces and tags and I gave up watching tv news several years ago when it became obvious how biased the reporting was. The views you share are quite spectacular and magnificent! Have a great week ahead!

  15. I like your journal very much, Valerie. Do you actually use it and record all your daily events in it? There are probably some exciting pages with secrets for your eyes only, maybe things to shock those who read it later. Maybe they’ll be published as the Tups Papers and people will rush to the bookstores to buy copies for all their friends so that they can discuss the scandals. Better send me a couple of pages so that I can pass judgement first and give you an idea of what to expect. Your lady with the full lips is sending me into realms of rapture as you might well imagine. I will not even begin to divulge my thoughts to you, but perhaps you only have to consult a page in your diary to refresh your memory! Ah the pleasure of it all. Your collage of pictures of Düsseldorf is charming, as of course are you. Hugs and copious kisses - David

    1. My journal is not used every day anymore, just here and there when I have ideas that I need to pdint or draw. I'm glad that you like my new lady, and yes, I can imagine your thoughts! Düsseldorf has lots to see and enjoy, but I prefer to be in Kaiserswerth, our ancient little town. Have a good week, hugs! Xxxxxxxxxx

  27. The Meadow Flower page in your journal is very pretty, love the hazy background against the flowers and the (is it corn or wheat, I never know which is which).
Of course your portrait appeals to me, Great use of black in your work. And the cat - lots of fun in making those two I guess.
Both journal pieces that follow are lovely to look at, so much going on in the first one and some real cute figures happily spooking anyone who comes along. The second one is on fire with those gorgeous colours and I love the outline of the figures that are merely a suggestion in some ways. Lovely work.
