Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

After a week of very wintry weather I was pleased to see calmer and rather warmer weather here today and was able to get out and have 2 good walks. I was up and about very  early this morning, as I had to be at the hospital at 7a.m. for a Covid Test and to sign my papers as I will be admitted on Monday to have the stent removed from my abdomen. I hope that there will be no nasty side effects this time, and that I only have to stay a couple of days. I will schedule my posts for Monday and Tuesday, and perhaps do a short post from my bed.

Today I have a hybrid piece put together from various elements from me, Mischief Circus and Serif. I love these colours, which always inspire me. I am linking to AJJ in memory of Eileen:

  5. I'm hoping the stent they put in your abdomen can be successfully removed and you will now receive a clean bill of health. Since you will be in the hospital, I will link you for T Tuesday. I can also link you to AJJ, if you need me to. While I'm at it, if you need me to, I can link you to Tag Tuesday. The only one I can't link is TioT, since they use Inlinkz.

I really like your latest Art Journal Journey entry. I can't decide if the girl is sad or pensive. She's beautiful, though and I like her wild hair. The entire entry is gorgeous and of course, I see a bird (and a butterfly, too) that is your signature theme. Thanks for sharing this with us using Eileen's theme.

Your walk shows how green everything is in your world. We are not that far along yet, but I see we both have tulips growing. The photos show spring has truly arrived in your world. Stay safe and keep calm, dear.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. It would be good if you could link me to whatever you can, thanks. We don't need to link to TiOT, so no worries there. I, too, hope all goes well this time, but I am really rather nervous just now. I will visit the TsfT people later in the week. Have a good weekend, look after yourself!

  7. Wishing you all the best on Monday Valerie, glad the weather has now started to change so you could enjoy your early morning walks, they really are the best. Lovely page with those pops of purples and pinks, colours I really do struggle with. She looks ready to enjoy her day too. Take care of yourself, will be thinking of you.

  8. I hope that all goes well on Monday, Valerie, and that there are no unpleasant effects from the removal of the stent. You have been through enough! Time to let someone else shoulder the burden for a while. Thank you for including a bird in your hybrid piece today. It looks like a conventional species to which we are accustomed, somewhat resembling a Blue Jay here in Ontario. Certainly it is not a new, gobsmacking rarity of the type you have discovered at Balconia-by-the Rhine, but one appreciates that these are not to be turned up like old memories. No doubt in the coming months, a few more will capture the attention of your discerning eye. Your pictures look serene and quite bucolic, even the storm damage. And those feet we see were made for walking, and that's what we hope they will be doing very soon. Again, good luck on Monday. All your blogging friends will be thinking of you. Hugs and kisses. David

  9. Lovely page with a positive message. I hope all goes well with your procedure.
Things are starting to warm up here (Prince Edward Island, Canada) and I can see brighter green on the pine trees outside my window, The grass is still rather brown, but that will change soon. I’m looking forward to spring.

  12. I'll keep my fingers crossed as goes well. You must hate the idea of going back so soon after getting your "freedom' again. Hopefully it will just be for those few days. And those colors are great and what a great piece for AJJ and Eileen's memory. How true. You need to make life count all the time. Loving your spring photos. We finally have green here also. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs-Erika
