New Challenge at Tag Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our wonderful and talented Wendy is hosting with the theme of bees.

Bees and other pollinators are so important to our world, without them we would have no food and no more life. I made my tag using one of my photos of bees on a sunflower, and added extra bees which were digitally cut from a photo:

And some of my photos showing bees and other pollinators at work:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  10. Not only is your tag beautiful, Valerie, it carries a very important message. Bees (and other pollinating insects) are critical to the maintenance of a healthy ecosystem, and without their vital role, the whole structure collapses. We mess with these creatures at our peril, yet we continue to decimate their numbers, and invent new insecticides to kill them, and new herbicides to kill the plants on which they feed. Humans are really quite mad. We inhabit a beautiful world, yet we systematically go about destroying it every day. Trash is everywhere, the oceans are dying, the forests are burning and the bees are vanishing. Soon we will vanish too. In the face of such gloom we still seem unwilling to change our ways. What is the legacy we are leaving to Lily? Hugs and kisses. David

    1. Yes, David, people are crazy. It's like digging a big hole under your own feet. It's a wonder that we can all still exist, let's see how long. I'm glad Wendy chose this tag theme, as it is so vital to our existence. I came home from the doctor's today in a raging snowstorm, now the sun is shining....I hope litte Lily and all others of her age can grow up to love and protect nature, and I know you are all doing your best to school her in the right way!

  14. I love all the bees on that beautiful sunflower. What a great tag. Your tag even feels sunny, something I haven't seen all day. And your photos of pollinators are wonderful, too. I broke down and had Scott buy me some coneflower seeds, since mine didn't come back last year. Now I just have to wait till the ground is soft enough to plant them. You showed some beautiful ones is why I thought of it.

I love these pollinator flowers. I don't have much sun but do what I can. It's an important issue to highlight :)
