T stands for a new challenge at Tag Tuesday and more

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing you all a good start in the last week of August. We are 'enjoying' hot weather again, with tropical nights, so I am longing for a return to cooler and for me more acceptable weather. This summer seems to have broken all heat records, and it's not over yet!

We are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday again. It's called Tag Tuesday, but the challenges always start Monday evening. And if you want to know who the winner of the prize is, you will have to wait till the Tag Tuesday blog goes live this evening....Michele is hosting our new challenge. Her theme is 'Purple', and she is offering a prize, too, so hope to see lots of you joining in again.
I made a fun  8" tag using scraps of paper, card and netting, a TH dress-form die-cut and lots of feathers. All sewed together with purple thread:

And it's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T gang who visit here.

These mugs were on sale for 99 cents last week, so I bought them, and now they are mine - both great sentiments to get me going in the morning:

I had a big struggle with a new art tote I made, and managed to bash my thumb with a hammer while setting an eyelet, but when I finally got it done and finished I rewarded myself with cappuccino and chocolate with crispy flakes - yummy!  I will show the tote in my next post:

Another cappuccino - I ate the cookie this time, I admit it!

This coffee refused to wait till I had taken the pic!

Some beautiful mugs in a shop here:

My weekend food - I made a chicken stir-fry with brown mushrooms and Chinese style veggies- very delicious. I made enough for 2 portions so didn't need to cook again on Sunday:

Another of Nathalie's snapchat pics where I look at least 50 years younger - virtual unreality!

The magpie was enjoying the evening sun:

 Some pics from my walks:

Early morning sun:

My dirty sneakers having a rest:

Down by the lake:

Nathalie went to Holland over the weekend and enjoyed the sunset on the beach:

Some of the animals I met on my walks:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  17. First, I love your incredible tag. The way you decorated the dress form is brilliant. Thanks, too, for pulling my name from your hat. I never expected to win, so that was quite a shock.

Loved your photos today. You took a LONG walk indeed. Like others, I thought the goat was so funny and cute. Of course, the chickens and donkey were adorable, too.

Your new coffee mugs are adorable. They'd get me going in the morning, too. I think they are adorable. Of course, I had to laugh at your cappuccinos that you shared with us. You ate the cookie before we could even see it (grin). Loved the store with the beautiful tea and coffee cups, too. This was a wonderful way to celebrate T this Tuesday, Valerie.

Ooooh, sometimes those coffees are naughty when they refuse to wait to be drunk... they're quick as a wink and gone before you know it lol ;D)
Beautifully decorated shop window - always beaut to see in your posts.
You've given me an idea for stir-fry - it looks wonderful and super delicious I could imagine.
Nathalie has a fun time with you on the camera - how lovely to wipe away our lines and look so smooth ;D)
Beautiful photos of your walks... that's such a special spot by the lake. Cheerio for today xx

    1. Wiping away the lines is good, but you get a shock when you look in the mirror again and see that the wrinkly old hag is back! And yes, coffees can be very naughty! The cookies, too!

  28. So much fun in this post! The goat really "got my goat". The highlight of the day day for me was when my girl got to pet her 1st goat....or at least the first that she remembers.

  30. Your tag is lovely. I hope your weather cools down soon. It's very nice now where I live in Connecticut US. (But we might get one more hot spell before the season truly winds down.) I like your mugs and the ones in the store window. Your cappuccinos always look delicious. Great photos of the animals you saw on your walks. I especially like the Magpie. The scenery photos look beautiful. Happy T-Day! (Sorry for being late.)

  32. What a beautiful tag! I love the tutu. The colour purple is a challenge for many people so it will be interesting what people come up with.
Your photos are gorgeous as always. Shop windows, animals, cappuccinos and this time a devil and a saint. And also some new mugs. Boy they were a bargain! Well done for finding those. They're great!

I forgot to say that the metal grids on our windows and doors are pure tradition. Our crime rate is very low. The gates on the carport will have panels on them to shield the car from the hot sun. In summer the car gets so hot, it takes a few minutes of running with the airco before i can get in it. Besides it's not good for the paintwork and the seals around the windows plus the tires will dry out.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca
