T sTands for Travelling on fooT and more

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, as I did. We had very mixed weather again, with sunshine, blue skies, grey clouds, wind and some occasional showers, but all in all it was good weather for walking and I did a lot of that!

Today I have another tag for Wendy's theme at Tag Tuesday.
There's still a week to join in, so hope to see YOU there!
I made a hybrid tag using a painted background with 'my' head, and some added elements from Serif. The lighthouse was stamped:

Tuesday is time for Elizabeth's T stands tor Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T gang. Nelya recently made a feast to celebrate her birthday, and here are a few of the wonderful treats:

Coffee in my fave mug:

This is a baked spinach, onion and cheese omelette I made last week, adapting a recipe from Jan. I left the bacon out as Harry doesn't eat meat, and it was very delicious:

And I remembered to drink plenty of fluids:

Good news:

We walked a lot this week:

A few photos from yesterday's loooong walk along the Rhine and across various bridges:

Not my feet!:

My next post will show more photos and a special series of '42s' for the Hitchhikers!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Good morning Val! Hope you weather is good again today, the sun is shining here. Another wonderful post. Love the tag, so much to see under the sea! Great photos, glad you have been able to get out and about in spite of the inclement weather. Nice that you have a walking buddy, it's always more fun that on your own. Glad the black swan is not alone any more, either. Nelya made a great spread for her birthday yummy! Hugs, Sarah

  4. Super tag Valerie. This is a fun theme and I love all the images you used to create this magical view. And your friend loves to bake. Yum. Talk about a lot of delicious looking nibbles. I am curious what the pistachio covered item is. And yahoo, Mr. Black Swan was there. Maybe he was out getting food every time you went by. Looks like great walking too. It is the beauty of living in/near a city so you can take different directions. Hope its a great new week. Hugs-Erika

    1. It's a sort of pistachio roll filled with nougat, sesame paste and more delightful things. The swan was treated for an injury.

  5. Fun tag. Makes me think of Summer, and I'm dreaming about that, too. Oh, all the food! I'm so glad looking at food pictures doesn't add up calories! Seeing Mr. Swan back made me smile. Your photos are just glorious. I'm especially taken with that bright cobalt blue as that shade is my favorite. Have a great day!

  7. Your tag is fantastic! I love it. The desserts look delicious, as does the omelette. I like your coffee mug. And I was so happy to see the good news photos. Do you know if it is the missing male, or a new one who is now keeping her company? The scenes in your walking photos are beautiful. It looks like you had some nice weather this past week. I like the architecture there.

  18. First, the water is finally out of the basement, but the walls are still damp. I have bleached everything, and don't seem to have any mold. Second, although I should begin with other things, I just had to nearly jump for joy when I saw the male black swan. If only he could share his tale of where he's been. Just WONDERFUL news.

Now for the tag. This is delightful. It's a beauty and the colors and images are perfect.

I enjoyed the rest of your walk, and it was super to see so many new-to-me sights. Fun and interesting photos.

T this week was a joy. Your friend made so many wonderful goodies. That favorite mug had me laughing. Your friend knows how to celebrate her birthday and those strawberries looked awesome. Of course, the coffee and cappuccino looked like something I would love to share with you, dear. Thanks for sharing your art, your friend's birthday meal, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday. And thanks for such great news about the black swan, too.

  24. Fabulous tag! The strawberry tart looks so delicious and is one of my favourites, it bought back memories of Paris as I always choose this when I go to a French patisserie and their are a lot of patisseries there (grin!) - yum 😉. Such fun photos this week too and I'm glad the black swans are doing ok. Sending you happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

  25. Lovely tag, Valerie. It took me a moment to figure out what you meant about "your head." That's a very cool effect and creates an unusual frame for the sky and birds. All that beautiful food is making me hungry. As always, I enjoy walking along with you on your photo adventures. Such beautiful pictures.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx
